How do you think I should go about unlocking FPs? I was thinking about unlocking the main FPs in all zones...

Using a Snake Summon Friend technique, I would summon like so.
Letters in brackets are accounts, I set up my RAF like A -> B -> C -> D -> E.

Toon 1 (A) summons 2 (B),
Toon 2 (B) summons Toon 3 (C)
Toon 3 (C) summons Toon 4 (D)
Toon 4 (D) summons Toon 5 (E)
Toon 5 (E) summons Toon 6 (D)
Toon 6 (D) summons Toon 7 (C).. etc

What do you think? Should I bother with FPs? Or is it a waste of time? I want to do this mainly so that I can unlock a lot of recipees and dump guys at rare recipee locations. I thought if I do this once per hour for a few days I would be able to unlock all of the FPs in all zones?

I can't really see a benefit though?

or you can pay to transfer each character and get all old world FPs for free! =D

lol. Money isn't an issue in my life, but if I paid for a PCT on each character, I have a feeling that it would rapidly become an issue.

you could do the explorer achievement with 1 team, will usually unlock most of the flightpaths, will take a day or 2/3, depending on how much you play. sounds way less boring than logging in/out a couple of 100 times

I wouldn't bother to much with stuff like that. But that's just me. I also don't really have an idea how much that will change when cata hits and we go back into the old zones.

Once you're 40, it's probably faster to just run around and get them. Possibly a few at a time.

But I would only get the FP on that team though right?
I don't get the FPs on the others also?

Nop, FP's are charbound.

If you have a team of warlocks, or really at least two locks on different accounts, you can play the summoning game.

The leveling guides, like the Kopp/Joana guides, get you all the flight paths as part of the leveling process. Chances are one of the free leveling guides would do the same. Scanning something like this, will get you a semi-efficient route to run. Or google might find a better path.

I remember getting multiple levels, from the Halloween candy buckets during RAF. My priests, death knights and hunters aren't quite 75th (and need to be, for 525 alchemy), so I did candies with the priests. Unfortunately, almost no old world flight paths made this slow, and after getting only 15% experience for an entire continent I quit; the experience per time played, is much slower then just questing.
I won't bother with old world flight paths, until my toons can fly.

Flight path mappings really aren't worth going out of your way to get unless you plan to fly over to events/nodes/etc. before you would normally be there from questing. Or if you're a dungeon leveler and don't bother with quests at all.

We can also fly in Azeroth come Cata, so I wouldn't spend too much time on it now.
