I thought i'd write a 12 STEP Guide to Earthquake. I tried and failed to find a decent one and thus compended my own.

I'm not sure if everyone uses this spell as boxers but since learning how to do this simultaneously I can't reccomend it enough. I thought I'd put this somewhere where more people can find it incase you were like me, absolutely clueless as to where to begin to use earthquake for your shaman of doom team :)

Earthquake Guide.

Step 1: Open up a word processing app like Notepad.
Step 2: Copy and paste the text below and save the file as "hotkeynet earthquake". Feel free to replace f5 as the modifier, this is the key you'll press to send the earthquake to the other clients screens so don't make it too complicated :P

<UseKeyAsModifier f5>

<Hotkey f5 LButton>
<SendWinM w1>
<ClickMouse LButton>
<SendWinM w2>
<ClickMouse LButton>
<SendWinM w3>
<ClickMouse LButton>
<SendWinM w4>
<ClickMouse LButton>
<RestoreMousePos>
<Clickmouse %TriggerMainKey%>
<hotkey ctrl R>
<sendpc local>
<RenameWin "World of Warcraft" w1>
<RenameWin "World of Warcraft" w2>
<RenameWin "World of Warcraft" w3>
<RenameWin "World of Warcraft" w4>
<hotkey shift R>
<sendpc local>
<RenameWin w1 "World of Warcraft">
<RenameWin w2 "World of Warcraft">
<RenameWin w3 "World of Warcraft">
<RenameWin w4 "World of Warcraft">

*Thanks to Khatovar for his input*
**As a sidenote, the text here is for four copies of WoW being run, if you run 5 or more clients just copy and paste an extra line and replace to X number**

Step 3: Once saved Download Hotkeynet software
Step 4: Load Hotkeynet
Step 5: Click File, Load script.
Step 6: Now find your saved word file with the text you just saved and load it up.
Step 7: Proceed to load WoW clients with software of choice keyclone etc and log in.
Step 8: You must if you haven't already run WoW in Windowed mode, rather than fullscreen windowed, this helps when renaming the windows themselves.
Step 9: Now we must rename the windows so hotkeynet can send the earthquakes at the same time. Simples, as we already have the command to do this loaded, the default I've included in the script is "Ctrl R" again, change this if it conflicts with your own macros or keybinds or it won't work. It may take one or two presses of the same key to change all the windows, now all the windows should be renames individually as "w1,w2,w3,w4" etc.

Step10: Make a macro with this for your shamans so they all have the same camera view/distance

#showtooltip
/script SetView(5);SetView(5)
/script CameraZoomOut(20)
/cast earthquake

Keybind all your shamans earthquakes to the same hotkey ingame (mine's 5 if you're wondering)

Step 11: Have a key (closer the better to your earthquake key) you'll PRESS and HOLD DOWN as you left click (mine's F5) to cast the multiple earthquakes Remember that the key has to be one at the top line of the word document "<UseKeyAsModifier f5> f5 being the default i've given".

Step 12: Press step 10's key then HOLD step 11's key down, leftclick the mouse selecting an area nearby to earthquake

Final Step: All shamans should earthquake, proceed to laugh as melee Fall On Floor.

**To change the names of the windows back just press "Shift-R". **

I Hope I've given people a good insight into what some regard as either an inaccessable or useless talent. Seeing as the software is free to get there's no reason why you can't do the same.
I'd love to hear if this guide's helped you. Or if you feel anything could be added to it.

You don't need individual lines for sending the modifier.

<UseKeyAsModifier F12>
<Hotkey F12 LButton>
<SendLabel w1, w2, w3, w4, w5>
<Clickmouse %TriggerMainKey%>
<RestoreMousePos>

As far as running this with other programs, it's kind of redundant. Keyclone and ISBoxer both have their own ways to pass mouse for ground-targeted AOE, which only requires setting a hotkey.

Well, if the mouse broadcasting for HKN is similar to IS:Boxer, then it is far superior to that of KC.
Having a simple HKN script to do the mouse stuff, is a huge (and free) boost to KC users.

Is the scripting for Repeater Regions (an area where mouse broadcasting enables, without any keyboard input, while the mouse is within the area) as easy?

Thx alot :) this wil help me alot, I am also looking forword to use this on my druids.

It can be hard to press the keys right, and sometimes it gets bugged. but it also work to spam the 2 buttons (I have F4 and F5) and spam leftclick, then it work instant :p

What is the software? Why can't we use ISBoxer?

I haven't set up Earthquake at all cause I don't know what I am doing.

Ifyou could explain the software more I'd find it easier to understand.

You can use your current software.

For ISboxer
See Example F (http://www.dual-boxing.com/showpost.php?p=243201&postcount=5)
http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=27268

For Keyclone

See step 3, it's hotkeynet software. I don't use Isboxer for the sole reason of it costing to use.
as for explaining the software there's not much to discuss, it simply enables the user to use the aoe like Isboxer, only cheaper haha.

Is there an option for Repeater Regions with HKN?

An area of the screen, where broadcasting is enabled (no hotkey pressed) merely by moving the mouse into the area. And where the mouse broadcasting is disabled (again, no hotkey) by moving the mouse out of the area?

TLDR:
ISBOXER Setup Would be like this:
Make an action target group Shamans or AoErs if you have more channeled aoers in your group.
Make a keymap to press your button and toggle mouse repeater. (In your macro have your /script SetView(4); /script SetView(4); and then /cast !SpellName.

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but yes, mouse broadcasting can be enabled via regions. I have two "clicking" examples.

Everyone Mouse Clicks -

Useful for everyone clicking something in the same location on all screens, such as Jamba Item Use Bar, Portals, Stuff on your Hotbars, Menu items.

<Hotkey LButton>
<If MouseIsOverWindowRect WoW1 755 481 200 200>
<SendLabel w1, w2, w3, w4, w5>
<Clickmouse LButton>
<RestoreMousePos>
<Else>
<SendFocusWin>
<Clickmouse LButton>

Of course, you'll have to specify the proper coordinates for whatever location you're using. The above ones are directly in the middle of my main's window, only effects Leftclicking and only from the main window for passing {leftclicking on a slave window does not pass to any other windows}. Anywhere outside the specified area sends leftclick only to the active window.

"Auto" AOE -

Useful for Targetted AOE without having to use additional keys or hold modifier keys. For example, the examples earlier in this thread require you to -

Activate the targeted spell {IE Earthquake, D&D}
Position your cursor
Press and hold the modifier key to enable mouse broadcasting
Click the mouse to place the spell
Release the Modifier.

The following code condenses all of these steps into one keypress and release.

<Hotkey 2>
<If MouseIsOverWindowRect WoW1 755 481 200 200>
<SendLabel w1, w2, w3, w4, w5>
<Key F11>
<Else>
<SendLabel w1, w2, w3, w4, w5>
<Key 2>

<Hotkeyup 2>
<If MouseIsOverWindowRect WoW1 755 481 200 200>
<SendLabel w1, w2, w3, w4, w5>
<Clickmouse LButton>
<RestoreMousePos>
<Else>
<SendLabel w1, w2, w3, w4, w5>
<Key 2>

This turns the REGION into the modifier, because we assume this is the only location where you will ever want to cast AOE.

Mousing over the region you chose while pressing down the key you choose turns on the mouse broadcasting and activates the spell. Releasing the key while still over the region sends the leftclick command. If you move your mouse out of the specified region before releasing the key, the leftclick will not be sent. If you move your mouse out of the region without instituting a keypress, it will send an unmodified command.

This means that you can add this to your spam key {My example uses 2, but you can substitute 3 or whatever your spam key is}. If your mouse is anywhere other than {using my example} the middle of the screen, you're just sending a normal 2 key to your windows. If you move to the middle of the screen, it calls the AOE.

Some additional notes, you can adjust which windows receive the commands by changing the SendLabel to only the desired windows and adding the other windows to the default command

<Hotkey 2>
<If MouseIsOverWindowRect WoW1 755 481 200 200>
<SendLabel w1, w4, w5>
<Key F11>
<SendLabel w2, w3>
<Key 2>
<Else>
<SendLabel w1, w2, w3, w4, w5>
<Key 2>

"Auto AOE" can be done another way, but that is really, really in the gray area, so I'm not comfortable using or posting it. To be safe, I highly suggest only using the two-step process above.

Note that the coordinates do not place the cursors at specific locations {IE you cannot specify that mousing over the lower right corner of your main window puts the AOE in the middle of the screen.} It's only for defining the region. You can, however, break it up by specifying a different location for the Hotkeyup command

<Hotkey 2>
<If MouseIsOverWindowRect WoW1 1557 739 20 20>
<SendLabel w1, w2, w3, w4, w5>
<Key F11>
<Else>
<SendLabel w1, w2, w3, w4, w5>
<Key 2>

<Hotkeyup 2>
<If MouseIsOverWindowRect WoW1 755 481 200 200>
<SendLabel w1, w2, w3, w4, w5>
<Clickmouse LButton>
<RestoreMousePos>
<Else>
<SendLabel w1, w2, w3, w4, w5>
<Key 2>

This way you can press the key down over an icon-sized space in the lower-right side of your screen to activate the spell and broadcasting, then move your cursor over to the center of your screen and release the key it'll place the reticule there and click. But I don't think that's going to be terribly useful since it'd always send the leftclick whenever you mouse over the center of the screen, even if you don't have the AOE spell on the cursor.

That is awesome but confusing as heck to me lol. My current setup I use my Tank/main, 3xdps, 1xheal priest. I am trying to figure out how I would for instance be able to send ctrl+left click=renew, ctrl+right click=flash heal, and so forth from the main to the priest window. I use grid+grid custom layouts+clique.

Ok I think I understand now.....so for :
<Hotkey LButton>
<If MouseIsOverWindowRect WoW1 755 481 200 200>
<SendLabel w1, w2, w3, w4, w5>
<Clickmouse LButton>
<RestoreMousePos>
<Else>
<SendFocusWin>

if I specify that region over grid for instance then i can specify to pass that particular click combo to my healing window correct?
If thats correct how would I setup to pass multiple types of click combinations to each of my windows for my different heals?

Thanks in advance for any input.

My understanding is that you might need to adjust the Window Rectangle coordinates, until they overlap your Grid Frame properly.

Also that you only need to pass the click to the Priest, so probably not to all of w1, w2, w3, w4 and w5.

There are several separate elements for Repeater Region healing.
One is the Grid Frame, with an alphabetical sort... sounds like you have that.
Another is passing the clicks to the desired toon.
Another is setting Clique to interpret which heal to cast based on the click received; configure that in warcraft, and on your Priest.
