Ding lvl 80! Need help with shamans vs. Melee.

Hey guys I just dinged 80 with my first team. Running 5 shamans.

The problem im having right now is vs. melees. Once they get close enough i have a hard time getting any spells off, as the followers dont turn quick enough. Is there anything you guys use in your macro to allow the toons to face their targets before casting?

Im using ISboxer/Innerspace.

I'd appreciate any advice you could give me, thanks!

use the interact with target key (In your interface options)

I have it set to one of my mouse keys, it's the only way to play with melee toons, and takes a bit of getting used to, but it should work for you.

When I would spam my IWT button the melee would run around the target rapidly then run off once he is dead. Quite annoying.

All i do is drop earthquake times 5 magma totems fire nova and if still alive thunderstorm. If they live thru all that thunderstorm will knock them back so u can use ele mastery get off a fast spell and hope somethings dead if not rinse and repeat.

i never use IWT i use my shaman aoe abilities.

You just hit 80, meaning your gear is probably crap. Facing players who generally 2shot people with your gear, it's no surprise you're getting owned. I'd suggest to wait untill cata, gear up with everyone else and have fun.

Vs melee: stagger your earthbind totems, so press 1: char1 drops one. press 2: char2 drops one, etc. Then after your drop a totem, they'll get entangled. IWT, move backwards, Flame shock -> lava burst and /wave. 4 magma totems + fire nova's will also do considerable damage.

Also, you have a talent which your earthbind can root them. I will often use this, take a few steps back, and nuke them to smithereens. :)
