I know this is not a new topic, but I can't find the solution.
Since all of you seem to love AV, you must have something I don't to see your slave's HP bars.
I had grid, which I couldn't make good use of, and I use Xperl for unit frames, which I'm willing to change,
What I want is: regardless of the raid of party situation, and regardless of what party my slaves are in, I want to see their health bars as though they WERE in my group.
Anything to make keeping all their casts and health in sync would make AV much more bearable.

AV and IoC will be 25 in Cataclysm. I've always prefered vuhdo / grid (way back) for raid frames.

I used Pitbull, untill 4.0.1 fecked up the old version. New version's Config requires a 10page instructionmanual. You had 40 small bars on the left of my screen, where party was. You could set it to filter classes, so i filtered all classes exept sham + my healer. Worked well. Still need to search for a replacement aswell.
I don't like Grid either. At all. The "huge" debuff icons are just stupid imo. Can hardly see the HP anymore. (I know i can change it, still has to be done.)
There used to be a Perfect Raid addon which did about the same as I used pitbull for. I'll search for it later. I use Simplified Unit Frames now. About the same as pitbull, but without raid frames :/

I actually contemplated making a complicated as hell set-up in Power Auras, to display and icon for each 10% of each characters HP bar in a certain location; basically using 40 different icons to re-create HP bars. That added with ISBoxer's click buttons, I could put a click-able button next to each "Health" bar that would cause all characters to target the character that correlated with that bar., in case I want to click on the low HP toon to heal it.

The Jamba team display shows health/mana etc. of your main and slaves as if you were always in your own group, no need to configure a complex unit frame mod unless you'd like all the extras like a cast bar, debuffs et al.

Yea, I like to see Name,HP,Mana and Cast bar of all 3 slaves, whether they are in my party or not, and currently have no idea how to accomplish this.

Castbar is huge on the slaves indeed.
If there's no other option, making the cast bar on slave windows like 1/4 of the window could help :D

I dont know things happen so fast that all this information (at least when I 8 box) is not usefull.
10 enemy are attacking and I have to cast chain heal every second, whats to know if I stop casting some guys die. Thats whats so good about shaman healing chain heal targets the low guy anyways after the first heal.
I just use jamba to know if auto follow broken and it dosnt update most of the time fast enough either .....
If I see the enemy I attack and heal .....
I use x-pearl now and they have a raid frame, lots of options but just simple click it on or off in the options, easy set up I thinks but I have never used their raid frame.

Sam, I used to agree with you, except that now, with the healing per second of healing surge, Chain heal is only used about half the time, and thats usually just when I'm getting equal pressure on all 4 toons. Healing surge is faster, and does a like 7k+ per (11k crits), with atleast 3 casting it, and a 33%crit chance, its a 1.5 sec 25k nuke heal on the focused target.

That's why PVP =/= PVE and PVE is refered to as 'scripted' events.
I tried out AG_unitframes, but it hasn't been updated. Used to do the trick aswell.

Has anyone actually been able to configure a predefined group with any addon, so that your slaves are shown as it would be in a 5 man party? I.e. the health/mana/castbars like any unitframe addon would do, but then with your own group in a raid (bg, icc, etc ...).
If jamba would have castbars and if it was configurable to have flexible layouts, I think thats what every boxer need. The other option is a unit frame addon that allows you to create a predefined group. Hope someone was to develop such a thing.

With Grid + Grid Custom Layouts, you can configure your party to display in column one (alphabetical sort), with the rest of the raid in the other columns.
Line 1, is column one.
Line 2, would be column two if you were to enter names here too, but is configuration otherwise.
I'm using:
ToonFirst,ToonMiddle,ToonLast;NAME
1,2,3,4,5;5/5;NAME;NR
I have every toon, from all of my accounts listed listed, at the top in the places of ToonFirst through ToonLast.
The format is Name comma Name comma Name, no spaces.
Followed by ;NAME.
Line two designates five groups will be shown, via 1,2,3,4,5, you could have eight groups shown if you prefer by going: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8.
The 5/5 controls the grid frame, the first number being the number of columns to display, and the second number being how many units to place in each column.
The ;NAME, again sorts alphabetically.
And the NR stands for No Repeating, so a name that appears anywhere once (ie, your toons in Column 1) will not appear anywhere else.
If you wanted to include pets, or run 40-man raids, I'd increase the groups to 8, and the number of columns/rows in the grid too.

Vuhdo profiles FTW.
I have a profile specific to when I bg that only shows Shamans.
Then I have a 2grp profile for WSG and 3grp profile for EOTS and AB so I can cover heal.

I really only chain heal if im up against 3-4 melee or like 5-6 people with aoes. Otherwise yes a quick 4x healing surge ftw.
