Best place to farm honor post 4.0.1?

Now that the PVP mounts cost honor points (1k/2k), what is the best place to farm honor while 5-boxing?
I'm inclined to lean toward Wintergrasp and Alterac Valley.

Also, any idea how much honor is awarded now for wins in those places?

You also get 7 honor for every boss kill in a HC. So if you´re not yet capped on Justice points, that´s not a bad way either.

I haven't gotten all 5 toons in a WG battle since the patch. Pretty irritating. Two to three don't get accepted, so they get ported out, so I just afk. I hate it, because I love WG. AV has been what I've been doing, haven't really payed attention to how much honor per hour I'm getting.

I found a work around to this problem. The toons that get ported out, I have each one drop group and drop from the Wg que. Then just que up each on individually. Every time I do this, I instantly get the option to join WG battle.

Anyone know if the 7 honor is all the time or just when wintergrasp is controlled (replacement for stonekeeper shards)?

The 7 (I thought it was 6) honor is the replacement for stonekeeper shards, so its up 95% of the time on my realm...

Even so, how many bosses do you really think you can kill in an hour, Vs instead farming Battlegrounds ?

Battle grounds net 100-200 per match, and you can usually 2 an hour. Even with 50% loss rate (which is not the case) you should get >150 honor per hour from BGs. With heroics, even if you could drop a boss every 4 minutes, which really is barely plausible, thats only 105 (90) honor per hour.

The only reason to use heroics for honor is if you really don't enjoy PvP (then whey are you farming honor again?) or if you're also in need of PvE badges or money.

I dunno why you are having issues I'm destroying battlegrounds with the shamans (when the queue pops!).
I literally haven't had char die since 4.0.1 it's ridiculous how much of a buff they did to resilience even after they reduced the buff our burst still globals, but we are tanks.

Playing tank, dropping totems and kill whatever comes close is part one yes. But trying to kill 3 people running away from you, carrying the flag. 1 being healer, will prove to be difficult. Without insta Ghostwolf that is. Because in most cases i'll be the only one actually caring for objectives. So if i do not kill the enemy FC, he will score. Exactly what happened.

Lets see wg ques easy. While in group broadcast have them all join solo. Done all get in every time for me. Av is good cept alliance always loses now when we used to always win. Wish i had the money for faction change. Healers running away are easy, Ghost run 5 times fs ele mastery 5 times lava burst done. If they are still alive ull see them star to cast windshear and it will give u enough time to hit him with chain and hes dead.

2 sec cast actually, but the talent in the enhance tree that reduces the cast time to 0 sec used to be reachable, now it won;t be reachable until level 82

Not at lvl 80 if you are ele... anymore. You used to be able to before 4.0 but now you have to spend 31 points in ele, then you only have 5 points left, which is not enough to get instant ghostwolf. They also reduced GW from 40 to 30%

But sometimes, whatever BG it is for the weekend can be better.

Yea i forgot about that whole gw thing its kinda dumb now but hey its less then 2 sec cast and u can still catch thier healers quick tho and blast them thru but i most of the time go str8 for fc and hit him fast before healer knows what to do, Then if you see healer casting target windshear continue to blast fc unless hes dead.

I'm with you on this.

Rogues can get past me if they burn all CDs and if I get mass cc'd while their fc runs way around me - which also means that most of their team is on me, and my FC can run without getting gangbanged. But this was always a problem before, and ghost wolf didn't help alleviate the chain frost novas, which is usually what gets a flag carrier around me.

I haven't yet logged my shaman all in at once to try a BG. Is there some problem with getting a group queue into BG's like you could do pre 4.0?

BG queues were rough on my server for a while, they seem normal now with 4 characters. Only about 10 minutes....

Pre Tuesday maintenance it was <1 minute for a group que and now it's around 5-6 minutes. Grumble grumble.

Seems like Alliance loses every BG and Wintergrasp on my server/group now. Doesn't seem that long ago when we at least used to win AV most of the time.

Any suggestions? Seems like no matter what BG I pick, I get shitty honor and it takes forever to lose.
