ele shaman as a booster in 4.0.1

Just tried boosting my druid on my main account. Used to do it with the pally, but cba to transfer him to another account. So figured I'd use a dk. Haven't touched my dk's since the patch, so I tried out my elemental shaman instead. And man ... what a booster that is in SM. Could do 3 runs every reset instead of the 2. Did it in full pvp gear.

What makes him an awesome booster for me since 4.0.1:

- the ability to use ghost wolf inside. running up to the last boss takes only a fraction from before. running back to gather all the mobs basically the same
- healing surge: a very quick and decent heal to get topped off again
- earthquake ... do i need to say more ...

I use drums of the forgotten kings + corroded skeleton key which gives me a 6k+ shield whenever I need it. and medallion of the horde to get out of roots. Whenever I take too much damage while gathering mobs, I use earthbind and once I'm in xp range of my lowbie thunderstorm. Also have stoneclaw totem glyphed. I don't use any aoe totems since my toon gets reduced or no xp at all (i leave him at entrance). Whenever I've gathered enough mobs, earthquake, if I get interrupted, trinket + earthbind and earthquake again. That + the healing surge makes it so fast (and fun actually) compared to boost with a tank.

Pre patch, I've used my shaman already to boost in ramparts, so I expect him to do well until lvl 60 at least. Though the pulls will be smaller obviously.

Im doing that but with my 70 mage i want 80 lol. I just que with pally and 3 shamans and mage. I dont respec one for healy and just rail thru instances her lvl. I know its not the same but got her some new gear plus im about to take her to grizzly hills for a cpl hours and hit the elites out there.

But yea ele shamans magma and earthquake = very fast for sm. Do you drop earthbind totems too lol. You can keep them all off you.

Why Ghost wolf inside? Is that the arctic wolf glyph?

You can use Ghost wolf inside now they changed it so we dont come out of ghost wolf when we enter buildings, Artic wolf is just a glyph to change the appearance.

Ya the ghostwolf inside is amazing I love running people down in WSG soon as they hit the tunnel im like oh that sucks as i run up and global them and return the flag :).

I just boosted a team to lvl 36 with an enhancement shaman. Never thought about using Ghost Wolf. Read about it weeks ago >.>

I have accounts set up like so:

A -> B -> C -> D -> E

I have boosted on my Mage on account A, but I am getting a little worried that my Account A is only going to have as many level 60s as I create on account E. Since I regard account A as my main account (its where I do most my auctioneering) I was considering boosting up on one of the charactes that I ahve made.

So I could use account B as the booster account. Would this be a good idea? And the question that links it to this topic... I only have a level 73 Shaman team.

It could be me, but I don't really have an idea what you want an awnser for. If you got a team of 5 chars, then boosting with 1 will drop 1 out, because he's obviously not getting exp. Ways to counter that is level up a team with tank, 3 dps, 1 healer and stick to that tank for other teams. Or an other dps. So you can boost 4 chars and use 1 character in several teams.

If you boost with account B, account A won't have a linked partner within level range when you still have RAF. So then you should boost with account C (AB are linked, D & E are linked). Without RAF it obviously doesn't matter.

Sorry Littleburst, I meant to get another team of 60. What I do normally is level them up with my Mage on account 1. So all my sixties go on accounts B C D and E.

there's another glyph for ghost wolf that adds another 5% speed boost to wolf form.

Now that they nerfed AOE tanking, I think for the lower lvl dungeons a DPS class with high HP pvp gear will be faster than a tank. Probably even up to Hellfire Ramps.
