WOW - XP gain penalty question

Hey all, I have a level 70 Druid on a second account that I would like to follow various alts and cast heals and Thorns buff.

If I keep the Druid out of the group and just cast heals as needed will I suffer an XP penalty? I know that if I use the Druid to damage the mob it will but what about heals?

Thanks in advance.as long as you dont deal damage to the mob your alt will get full exp for each kill.

If your druid has decent DPS gear, I'd suggest dragging your alt through Deadmines, then Stockades, then SM until lvl 42. It's super quick with a lvl 70. Then you could do ZF and BRD, but its a bit slower.
