So i'm so burnt out of wow at the moment, i log on and sit there for a minute and then log off and play like red dead or something or even do laundry, ya that's how bad it is, i actually prefer to do laundry than play. wtf i know.

Anyways, i've been playing since launch and have never taken a break and i'm just worried i wont want to come back, on a brighter note i'm getting the kinect setup for the 360, so that should be cool.

I guess my questions if there is one in this ramble is, have any of you ever felt like you never wanted to play again, to start refreshed 6 months or so down the road? can it be fun again?

thx for the input

Take a break for a week or two, dont open wow at all, and then post again how you feel about wow :)

haven't opened it for a few days now, kinda feels wierd, like i have a bunch of free time. A hour actually feels like a hours instead of 15 minutes lol

Welcome to the club man.

If it wasn't for the Headless Horseman right now I'd be unsubbed. The changes and everything are just mediocre. It's nice but I feel like everything outside of achievements will be wiped clean Dec 7th. What's the point right.

All the waiting and boredom have got to me over the months. Was really excited about Cata but it's all falling flat now. After Halloween going to cancel and hope the urge to play returns with Cata.

No dirty laundry around here lemme tell ya.

I took a year off after BC came out and I got to 70. Came back before WOTLK and it's all brand new again.

I don't play all that much over the summer, due to seasonal work.
The last few years, I've taken my PC with me, but still that's maybe 2-3 hours a week, tops.

The game is always better after a break.
I'll sometimes take 2-3 weeks off of the game.
And that makes it seem fresh again.

As does an expansion.
Or a new team combination to try.
Or a new spec.

Variety is the spice of life.
The last week or so, I've been done a few 15-20km bike rides.

that's good to hear you guys actually want to come back and play after a break, that's what i scared of i guess, that i will not want to play again. only other mmo i play alot was SWG and when that game was boring, i just quit and never went back.

can any of you "bored" guys help us noobs out by making some good video guides or guides to great guides that are allready out there?

What do you want guides to? And what do you mean guides to guides?

We all need new guides and stickys with 4.0.1 and Cataclysm changes.
I took a break after reaching 70. Came back and loved DK. Its a warlock in plates.

A guide to guides, might read:

Read each section individually.
Make sure you understand the underlying concepts.
When you do, read the next section.

Not sure what to recommend beyond that.

A lot of people innovate, coming up with a new approach.
Quite a few of them post what they did and the results.

Others put together a user manual for something already out there.

You could call these guides.

Beyond that, if you have a question..
A lot of people will try to answer you.
Is there anything in particular, which you'd want a guide on how to do?

I've taken several extended breaks. I was WoW-less most of this past year. Back in Vanilla, when I was still just playing one toon, I quit after the AQ opening. I was so burnt then that I vowed never to come back. BC had been out a few months before I begrudgingly came back. I've taken some shorter breaks here and there. Eventually something piques my interest and I come back.

The moral of the story - When they say 'I can haz ur stuffs?!' say no. You might need it some day down the road. ;)

I've taken multiple WoW breaks over the years, mostly woman related. Currently on week 3 of the current break (and current relationship).. Always come back. I'll prolly unsub 3 of my 5 accts tho and just 1-2box cata when it comes out.. 5boxing takes up a lot more time for me than solo..

Breaks are a good thing, even in the tooltips Blizzard mentions to play WoW in Moderation :)

.... I usually take time off during re-up time. Since I just usually pay 3-6mo at a time I find it best to take a break at that point.
