View Full Version : [wow] Picking up 5-boxing again, what about pve group comps?

Haven't boxed in a while due to time constraints, however now I'm ready to pick it up again.

My team used to be 1 prot pally, 1 resto shammy and 3 elem shammies. However, after I quit boxing I leveled the resto shammy to level 80, problem is, now I can't queue for random dungeons, which sucks. Apart from the resto the whole group is 67 ish. I do have a couple of options, but I haven't got a clue as to what group comp is good these days. Basically I'm stuck with 1 pally and 3 shammies (unless I level a new group, which I don't really feel like). As a fifth character I have a 67 druid and a 65 hunter at my disposal. This leads to the following groups:

prot pally, resto druid, elem shammies
prot pally, resto shammy, boomkin + elem shammies
prot pally, resto shammy, hunter + elem shammies
bear, holy palla, elem shammies
bear, resto shammy, retri pally + elem shammies

What do you guys think would be a good group, and why?

I'd personally throw the 67 Druid into the mix.
It's the same level as the others, so doesn't need to play catch up.
Also, a Druid gets you a toon who can Tank or Heal down the road, should you want either path.

Then play the five-some as a normal group.
You can PvP, which if the queues aren't too long, I'd highly recommend in x6 or x7 through x9 levels.
You can instance grind, via dungeon finder.
Questing will be decent experience too, especially if you stack quests.
