I cant create a poll post on this fourms but wanted to get a quick poll of dual-boxing.com members to find out the following:

1. What Addon Deployment Tool do you use and why? Curse, WoWAce or an other?

2. What is you must have addon (boxing or non-boxing related) for WoW.(Jamba is not an option as its obviously the most useful single addon for us atm)

So i will start by answering my own questions:

1. What Addon Deployment Tool do you use and why? I use Curse Addon (free version), i find that it is easy to use, and search for addons.

2. What is you must have addon (boxing or non-boxing related) for WoW. For me the most valuable addon i have is Vudho, using it for dynamic healing on my team is the onle thing thats makes boxing viable.

1. wowinterface.com, but we use curse for our Atlas SVN.
2. TukUI (http://www.dual-boxing.com/www.tukui.org). Been using it since version 1 and just love how nice and clean it has been from the start.

I use the curse client (free version). I am generally happy since it is easy to use. The only bad thing is that curse does not have all addons I use.

For my slave toons I have no addons that I think are mandatory; my main (tank) uses bartender, atlasloot and stuff like that. I keep all my macros in my ISBoxer Profile so I do not need any addons for macro enhancing.
The only mandatory addon I can think of is AuctionProfitMaster on my bank alt for earning gold.

1) Curse, Curse updater set to manual

2) CTMod, yeah it is old, but it does bars, unit frames, raid frames still gets updates quickly, is customizable and is small. Yeah, I have used x-perl for a little for frames, but I am in the mood to go back.

1. Curse mostly, a few from WoWInterface. I use the favorites lists and install manually.
2. Pitbull4. There's just so many ways I use it that it's pretty much become the core of my boxing interface. It's become the graphical element for not just my health & mana, but for purging, interrupts, cooldowns, cleansing and proc management.

1. Curse - just for ease of updates, though I use very few addons.

2. Other than Jamba, none. I pretty much did away with all addons a while back (used to use a ton) and use the standard UI for a lot of elements; especially with the addition of "Blizzard Grid."

Edit: I guess Auctionator on second thought, because the thought of listing single auctions again makes me cry.

A point of order: if you run the curse updater, please, pretty please, set the options so it closes the app when you close the UI and close the thing when you finish checking for updates. I'm just about convinced that the ads that app rotates through are how some folks have been hacked in the past. Not curse's fault, mind you, but it's a vector (it runs IE in that ad window) that cannot be overlooked.

ive had a bunch of java errors come from that window. so far nothing seems wrong but i can definitely get on board with what your saying.

1. Wowinterface.com favorites - manual update

2. Some type of unit frame, action bar, and minimap addons are mandatory for me. I like to have everything neat & orderly and at the bottom of the screen. Currently my favs are SUF, Bartender and Pminimap.

@ugh: That's exactly why I never started using those updaters when they came out years ago. I'm sure they're legit but, better safe than sorry. Plus, I prefer being in complete control.

I take it, you can order the Grid like frames with a fixed order, for Repeater Region healing?

The UI looks nice and clean.
I'm tempted to go with a compilation again, rather then messing with individual addons.

1. Curse but I whish I could use something else because it runs terribly bad under linux & wine. Version 4 doesn't even run at all so I'm stuck with version 3.

2. Bagnon comes first (before vudho) because it always takes me ages to find anything in the default bags. I find Vudho not mandatory anymore now we have this new default raid UI.
