View Full Version : Full Wrathful for honor, 4.01, no rating reqd

Even though the vendor will display these items as red, and still says rating is required, you can buy them regardless and equip them.
You cannot get the arena T2 weapon or shoulders but you can get the arena T1 ones.
I had around 11K honor after the conversion and was sturggling on what to spend it all on.
Head to the arena vendor in Dalaran sewers and upgrade.

It's a bug, and I think the rolling restarts that just happened fixed it.
but I could be wrong (they did fix the flying in Azeroth bug though) :(

Nope, it's intentional. There's a blue post about it somewhere. Also, I just got some things after the restart, so it does still work.

It's a bug that it's red, or it's a bug that it's buyable? I haven't seen a blue saying for sure. I was gonna wait till I saw some definitive post. I know they're throwing about 24hr bans like crazy for something right now.

I cannot recall a time when any similar situation resulted in anything but the equipment being taken away from the players.

As Zenlyth mentioned, being able to purchase Wrathful gear without the listed rating requirement is not a bug. Currently the tooltips are incorrectly still listing the rating requirement, but only Honor points are required for purchase.
When will the rating requirement be fixed?
It will require a client-side patch to update the tooltip.
It pays to be a botter / afker.

Just because you are able to enjoy a certain gear doesn't mean its off limits for everyone else.

looks like you need to have a previous personal rating of any team size.

There is 251, 264 and 277 gear. You don't need a rating, that is a bug that it still shows that you do. If you remember, after an arena season ends, they let everyone have the previous season's gear for honor. The 277 weapons/gear need a rating still. Then next season (4.0.3+2 weeks), you will need conquest points for top PVP gear. You get conquest points from arena, rated BG (preformed groups only) and I think the first daily win from a BG.
It doesn't hurt for others to get gear that you already have. Shame on you for being selfish. If you want better gear than others, wait a few weeks and do arenas again. If you can't stand people gearing up slower than what you got it, then go to a different game.

the ilvl 270 shields are stupid cheap, i mean it was like 70 honor... I got that from one losing BG. Not sure if i feel like farming for the wrathful set stuff, given that in less than 2 months I'll be replacing it anyway.... but it might be nice to have a bit of an edge, or at least more equal playing field when the gates open.

This was great got my Pal up to 5.4Kgs, havn't even steped into a raid. Got some achevment called superior.

Question for ya Sam, I haven't followed up on your progress, but have you gone for the "For the Alliance/Horde" achievements for the bears yet on any of your teams just by yourself?

Heh I don't pvp all that much besides zerging in WG, so I just spent my honour points on the old old lvl 60 PVP gear. My human pally looks almost as epic in that gear as he does when in the lolbringer set :)

If Blizz would fix all the disconnect issues regarding mouseover and zoning I'd be a happy camper--As it is, about 1/3 of the BG's I join one of my DK's client's crashes and I have to leave, wait 15 minutes, and then restart. Sigh.

Shrug. If I had QD weapons I would probably prioritize upgrading armor first.
