I am having the same trouble with a standalone maximizer. The old client works fine with the maximizer.

I haven't tried Boxing yet, as I'm one of those with connection issues, But this is what I plan to do with keyclone.
Start each account one by one, and put them kind of where I want them on screen. yeah there may be some overlap, at least until there is a fix.
Then simply use the ADD command in keyclone to add them all in.
It should work as far as passing keys, but I'm hoping that we will see a fix soon to get our screens back. But this is a problem on Blizz;s end. They made a note of it in the bug fix thread. Something about using batch files to open multiple copies lock up etc.
I'll play around with it later though, and see If I can't come up with something a bit more concrete, like I said, I'm just going by guesswork, and how the software functions.

Keyclone's maximizer works perfectly here, no issues at all.
I start all the wows manually with the connect command.

It may have something to do with the fact that they changed some settings in the video tab, to enable you to start the wow instance on any monitor you have. I would try adjusting those at least, toggle them on and off. And you can always try renaming the config.wtf file to config.wtf.old or something, and see if that works.
keyclone is working fine for me aswell. make sure you have keyclone up to date.

Hmm, not sure, I just tested mine, and it works just fine.
You might want to give Rob a call, or an email. He rarely posts here at all.

Blizzard has apparently made some changes to the way it does windowed mode. Pre-4.0, Octopus could do its "keep all windows in foreground" thing so you could single-click on any window. Now, that's not working. I presume any multiboxing tools that maximize or handle foreground/background and/or rendering will possibly need updates.

I am having the same problem. After launching the first WoW window, subsequent windows starts loading a long time later (like 30 seconds later) and they do not get captured in keyclone's list of WoW instances. How do I fix this?

I too am having the maximizer problem since 4.0.1. Keyclone is up-to-date. My slaves run on a laptop which has a monitor added to it. The laptop screen is disabled, so the added monitor is the primary screen. Somehow, WoW sees both monitors even though only one is enabled.
I have keyclone setup to open 3 clients in different regions. WoW is setup for 'windowed mode'. No probs prior to 4.0.1. After 4.0.1, keyclone places the first client in the correct region. Then it places clients 2 and 3 in the middle of the screen, one on top of another. Keyclone does not auto-detect these last two clients. The WoW monitor setting when this occurs is 'Primary'. If I change the monitor setting in WoW to 'Monitor 1', keyclone launches all three clients on top of each other and detects none of them by default. If I launch each client manually the same occurs.
Something else I noticed. Key broadcast takes place only when clients 2 or 3 are in the foreground. If client 1 is in the foreground, no keys are broadcast.

All of the sudden I'm having the same problem as Teamgrizzly and kenphillips. I have been using keyclone/maximizer fine since the patch until today.
When i fired up keyclone, AVG threw a fit at WoW.exe, asking me if i wanted to quarentine it. I said no, and let it keep on working. And just like that, Maximizer hasn't been the same. The first instance i fire up will work, but any subsequent wow instances aren't picked up by maximizer, they open in regular old windowed mode. And they won't receive any key strokes either.
I've disabled AVG to rule that out as a problem, but it doesn't seem to matter. I have no idea what has changed since yesterday afternoon.

ive found way round this problem...
go in to set up and there on maximizer options you can set it to match a ward to recognize fill the box "add game" then type in world of warcraft.
start your wow windows 1 by one and in keyclone window you can see that keyclonen added a window named world of warcraft. right click on the name and then you can see a lot off options. drag the mouse cursor to the tab named maximizer and simply add it to the region you want.

Hekola, I'll try that out later tonight. But, if memory serves, mine is setup to auto add windows of that title...which it ain't.
I also stumbled across an email address for keyclone's founder: keyclone@solidice.com
Looks like the address is still active, as I'm not getting any returned mail.
Also, for those of you that say it's still working properly, could you be more descriptive in how you're using keyclone? As in how it's setup, how you start it, etc.? I'm thinking that maybe our situations aren't similar enough and that's why it still works for some.

Good luck getting an e-mail reply from Keyclone anytime soon, your best bet is to call him on the phone (http://www.solidice.com/contactus.html).

http://img543.imageshack.us/f/bildkeyclone.jpg/1: start keyclone
2: Go in to setup, http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/4286/bildkeyclone.jpg
3:add world of warcraft to match the word ecakt.
4: Start your wow with your command and press connect: http://img525.imageshack.us/f/bildkeyclone2.jpg/
5: Now you can see that keyclone recognized world of warcraft and added it up to it´s Title window. Like the Pic above.
6: Right click the window and you will get a drop down menu. look were it stands MAXIMIZER hover your mouse cursor there and now you can see your regions.
7: press the region were you want it to be. http://img695.imageshack.us/f/bildkeyclone3.jpg/

Weird?!?
Checked my setup, as per Hekola's suggestion. It was already configured that way. Started the first client...no probs. Started the second client and keyclone auto-placed it! Same with the third. Closed all clients and keyclone. Restarted keyclone and started all clients simul with connect (client1;client2;client3). All clients were auto-placed again!! So, the maximizer is working, for me, for right now...
Key Broadcasting is not however. From what I can see, keyclone is bringing each window to the foreground when I mouse over. Boy, this is strange! Broadcasting works when I connect my master's keyclone instance to the slaves' instance. But not amongst the slaves themselves.

Got a temporary manual solution. Very tedious but at least I can still play.
1) Launch all 5 windowns per normal with keyclone. Only the first window is pick up by Keyclone.
2) Add the remaining 4 windows to the keyclone list manually
3) Right click in the keyclone list, select maximizer and assign the appropriate region
4) Right click in the keyclone list and assign the appropriate key mapping
Hope there is an update to Keyclone. Previously I get into WoW in less than a minute. Now it takes over 5 mins.

I've been reading some of these descriptions now, and they all seem like the problem I used to have a while ago.
I'm running the latest keyclone, and was having some problems ketting keyclone to run the maximiser properly.
Here's the two options you can do (I did both, just in case)
1. Set folder permissions for the keyclone folder to Allow All (or whatever it's called in your version of windows)
2. Run keyclone as administrator.
To make this problem go away, I did the above, then did the following:
1. Run keyclone as administrator
2. Delete all maximizer regions, and their references in the command editor.
3. Create all new regions on all monitors.
4. Add the new references in the command editor, hitting apply after every single one (I found it helps, even though it's not really necessary)
5. close down and restart keyclone (again as administrator)
Vista and W7 has those annoying restrictions, particularly on the "Program Files" folder, making keyclone fret with the settings every time if you don't run it as administrator.

Is keyclone And maximizer still the best for boxing?
