All in all I must say I am extremely pleased with the patch. They have made huge improvements in the UI and the overall quality of the game client.

Class mechanic changes change be argued in either direction, but you have to give them credit for all the little improvements they have made in the way the client behaves. Two things that stick out right away is being able to see which spells and abilities to can train at your current level and which ones you will be getting in the future. Other things are more subtle like having quest mobs names automatically displayed above their head for the quests you are one. And then there are little things like the popup text that happens when you level telling you if you got a talent point and which new spells you can learn.

Right now I think a lot of people are overwhelmed by all the class changes, but once we get past that information overload, these UI improvements will still be useful.

Oh, and if they don't nerf the macro changes, those are gonna be so win!

/agree

all of the toons that I have logged in have been interesting changes and possibly overcomplications. my solo priest now feels like a lock in managing the buffs, chakera etc....

lots to relearn, but i like it so far.
probably a bit ore micro-management until we manage to macro it all, but seems all good.

What exactly do you mean by that?
(EU Player here... still having to wait a few hours to finish work and until servers are up, to be able to have a clue)

Don't mind the patch so far... Dealing with so many different toons to learn new stuff.. re spec... etc etc... is somewhat annoying after a long day of work. Think I might go watch a tv ep with a beer and deal with half these toons on the weekend. :)

Gotta agree as well. Everything that I thought was getting nerfed into the ground doesnt seem to be the case. Before the patch, I've been running a 1x DK Tank, 1x Holy Paladin and 3x Shamen. After the patch, I spent the day respecing, adding new glyphs, buying new gear (thank you, Justice Points!), and doing new gems/enchants. Once all was said and done, I made some new macros and did some Heroics.

Threat: Was never an issue. In the 3 or 4 Heroics I did, I had my shamen pull threat maybe twice, and the mobs were easily picked back up by the tank.

Mana Regen: The Holy Paladin never went below 90% mana. Shamen never went below 60-ish.

Love the fact that they combined the Paladin Blessings and Resistance Aura and the combined Shaman resistance totem!

This is giving me very high hopes for Cataclysm!
