I set the downloader to start when I stopped by my house during lunch. Came back after work and the downloader crashed 50% into the download.
Waited for it to download the rest. Came back, installer failed with a md5 hash error 75% into the install.
I'm now re-downloading 4.68 GB.
Hell yes.

Gotta looooove those patch days :) ...and it's x5 for most of us.
Two of mine patched during the day, I'm working on #3 right now. For some reason you can't run more than one patcher on the same computer...it hangs. So, maybe sometime tonight I'll get my first account's UI set up and talented, and prolly screw around with the rest tomorrow. Oh, and maybe buy all the scarlet rubies and fires I can find if they didn't skyrocket.

Dozerr, don't you have this problem every xpack? Or am I confusing you with someone else...

x5? Who here actually has to patch 5 games? If you have to actually patch more than 2, you're Doing It Wrong(tm), IMNTBHO. ;)
[edit] Obvious caveats about family installs, hardware boxers, etc. apply.

mklink = a nice way around chewing up space and speeding up patch day.

I box on 5 computers and I have a laptop that I keep for road trips. I only download patches once. I just copy the Updates or Patches folder over to the other machines. I had a 1.2GB download through the new launcher (the red/yellow/green one) that I had to do on each machine because it doesn't actually download to a file, it puts it in the files you have. Yeah, I should have just copied WOW over, but it didn't take that long and didn't think about it until 3 machines were done.

I box on 2 computers, and now that I"m using ISBoxer, I'm not completely sure if I'm still using separate folders for my second computer. ISBoxer just kinda 'auto-found' the executable and ran it. Either way, I copied the patch files to each folder and am patching each one individually.

You shouldn't need more then one install per computer, if you're running IS Boxer.
Not saying you cannot run multiple folders on one computer, if you prefer that approach.
Just that, IS Boxer can virtualize your config file, so you get the differing options from one game to another, with a single install on the one machine.

Someone else. First time I've had stuff like this happen.
I subconsciously (sp?) knew it might fail so I started the update on my other computer that usually runs 2x wows when I 5box. That one patched 100% so I just copied that WoW folder over to my main machine.

I have to move mine off my SSD to patch; apparently it needs over 13GB free temp space to install because I run out of space about 90% into the patch process. Other than that it seemed to go smooth

epic patch failure here as well.
After applying patch to MAIN folder got the "interface.MPQ" not found error.
* applying the patch for the second time - same effect.
* repair.exe gave me the finger ans said reinstall game.
* Deleted DATA folder and copied the unpatched Data folder ALT (yes I have clones of the game on my SSD :)
* Applying the patch, downloading again 1.5G :(
* start and worked. *sigh*
(another possibility would have been to do a clean install of version 4.0.1 (downloadable from battlenet)
