I was just reading the Glyph changes, which I'm fine with, other than the dent in my glyph money making and posting. But i remember somewhere (can't remember where) i read that the number of inks for Glyphs was going from 1 to 3 for each glyph, anybody else remember this or have a source?

Yes, it's going from 1 ink to 3 ink.

If you haven't stocked up prior to patch day, your mats cost just went through the roof.

So for inscription is there going to be money made from the dust instead?
Seems like the glyphs themselves will not be a long term money maker?

That is ridiculous... I mean they just lowered it to 1 ink per glyph awhile back in another patch.

Sigh...

Patch day for me is tomorrow (EU) so guess tonight is glyph making night.

Well, glyphs have also gone from: overwrite an old glyph and it is lost... to: once a glyph has been learnt, your character has it forever, subject to only "x" glyphs of a given category applying at one time.

I still see glyphs as a money maker. Just not as much of an ongoing money maker as it is now. You'll likely sell a ton at the start of Cataclysm - people will have their new Goblins/Worgen. There will also be regular re-rolls to whatever is the current Flavor of the Month. And people are still making DK's too.

Possibly sell an entire set of glyphs, everything your class can use, for a large amount.

The auction addons which batch post or cancel, are supposed to break with this patch. The guy who wrote Quick Auctions says he will not update it, and unfortunately it is not open source. Auctioneer will likely be updated, so their Appraiser function will do something - but Blizzard has said they want a hardware event (key/mouse click) for each auction posted or canceled.

I'd imagine less people will be manually posting 300+ glyphs a week.

Someone is trying to write a solution that reads your QA3 files.

Thanks for the heads up there.
