So they released the schedule (http://us.blizzard.com/blizzcon/events/schedule.xml)and after looking at it, it looks sparse. I'll have to dig up my older schedules, but it seems like they took away some panels and even are ending the con earlier each night. Any one else think the convention seems like they put it on a diet?

Yes, it looks like less than last year. Doesn't make sense, unless they put more $$ towards the finale.

Still waiting to hear what the hired 'musical' act will be. :)

Have they confirmed it will be a music act? Two years back it was Oswald Patton doing stand up comedy. Maybe this year it will just be Jay Mohr singing a duet with Metzen.

less for more it seems(150 bucks this year). I was thinking they might announce the new MMO they have been working on for the past 4 years. That would be the only "real new news" . I'm starting to wish I had just watched it on Direct TV this year. Maybe they have something totally awesome in store for us. but i have my doubts.

after the big leek last year they could be taken stuff a lot more in hideing

you got to think cata was said weeks before blizzcon 2009 with all the change flying in oldworld, oldworld changes, 85 and it was all right if there is a new MMO said that there could be the pannels might not be on the list if it said Pannel for X then we know what they going to say.

My guess is the big announcement will be something to do with Diablo3 for 2011. Just like two years ago, be prepared for something lackluster. If they announce the new MMO it might steal some thunder from Cataclysm, so while it would be cool to hear about it I doubt they will do that with only a couple weeks before a major launch.
Of course they migh have some news about the second part of SC2 for the end of 2011 (game engine is done, so it should be just story and cinematics)

There isn't too many panels for Diablo 3, you'd think they would hype it up more ><

My only problem with them "hiding" panels is that the show seems to be ending earlier this year and has fewer rooms. If they are adding these extra panels, I hope it's with a room they don't have on the schedule, and not by changing the times on anything, since people do make plans based on the ties they provide. We set up our get together for 10pm because last years events went until 9:30, but this year they end an hour earlier.
