Hello... I am multiboxing x3 shammys, it has been fun and I still no very little... i was reading someone elses post here which has made me post here and ask some questions...

What is this "interact with target" ? I do not loot dungeons when I am there with my x3 because well it is annoying switching each toon too loot etc, is there a way my slaves can loot with ease ?

oh i use isboxer and jamba.

Now I want to step it up, I prefer to play on my own or with my fiance when in the mood :P

So I will use my geared pally I already have and either level another shammy or convert my druid into a healer

What I really do not understand is how on earth do 5 boxers do what they do in dungeons.

should I use other software as well, other then isboxer and jamba ?

Like if i send my tank in then all my other toons would instantly follow and be on the tanks backside, thats not a good thing... so what do I do there ?

And if I am using a none shammy healer, then how will that heal the tank and my shammys if it needs to ?
am I flicking constantly between pip windows or needing too when tanking, dpsing, healing arrgg ??

How is it done ?

So confused on that.

I dont understand how you can taunt, hold agro then somehow dps and heal all at once.

I can x3 dps with no issues because they are all the same class, so if i press the number 3 flame shock casts to whatever target I tabbed too and other 2 slaves cast as well, I hot number 4 then lava bursts occurs x3 etc etc... I cannot comprehend tho with that going on, how would my tank, tank, hold agro at the same time, controlled by me and then how a healer heals inbteween *scratches head*

Interact with Target simply does the same thing as RIGHT CLICK does. So if you target the flight master and press your Interact With Target key, it opens the flight path dialog.

When you combine IAWT with "Click to Move," what happens is that if you select an NPC and then press the IAWT button, your character will run over to the NPC and then interact with it.

This is useful for melee characters as it causes your guys to run over to the mob and then interact with (aka ATTACK!) it. For caster classes, it is less useful as you don't want them running into melee all the time.

Nope, a key broadcaster + the addon to make things easier ingame is all you need. There is no really other software besides that, except software that comes with your keyboard/mouse to remap a button.

When you run in with the tank, you can hit the 'back' key of your shamans, that will break follow and they stay away and in position. After doing that 5 times you'll know where and when to break follow

And if I am using a none shammy healer, then how will that heal the tank and my shammys if it needs to ?

You can heal with keybinds, i.e. 5 macro's that send a heal to a teammember. That's the way I do it. Other players use repeater regions (i.e. mousebroadcasting), where they heal on the main toon with grid/vuhdo/healbot and clique and the mouse coordinates gets send to the window of the healer as well, i.e. the way a party healer would heal. I'm not much of a healer and I find keybind heals way more effective. /target toon1 /cast lesser healingwave, and this bound to key 1, key 2 has the same for toon 2, etc ... I also use a modifier, so depending if i use that key + shift or alt it can cleanse, cast riptide or a big heal.

If you stay alive you should never switch between windows. It's good if you want to 'do stuff' on a slave, like crafting, setting talents, etc ... or when your main toon is dead in pvp/pve, or when you have to do a certain quest solo on a slave.

That is the skill that is needed to multibox: i.e. multitasking.

Thank You, zenga and other poster now I have more to go on.

However silly question but, what is IAWT ? And how do I enable, use it ?

And " Interact With Target" how do I enable this, off and on ? Or bind it somewhere ? SOrry I do not know how I do this.

Be very useful though :)

Pretty sure IAWT = IWT, not sure what the A is there for.

Khat's thread explains IWT well.
