No more Honor Epic gems after 4.01

fyi, just saw this on mmochamp. thought it sounded interesting. I've been saving my epic transmutes on my alchemist because prices have sucked, but this will seriously pump them up i think. what do you guys think?

Honor Jewelcrafter Quartermaster gone in 4.0.1
Apparently, the Jewelcrafter Quartermaster will be removed in 4.0.1. A lot of people have been asking what would be the new price of epic gems with the new honor points, the answer is simple, you can no longer buy them in 4.0.1. The NPC has been recycled as a Weapon Quartermaster.

that's good methinks, harder to obtain gems make mine more valuable. or something >.<
at least for a couple weeks after 4.0.1 when people try out things

On the other end, it seems that transmutations cooldowns will be gone. If you just want to be able to re-gem correctly your main characters according to the new standards without having to throw much money on this and have one alchemist, then just make sure you've stockpiled enough frozen orb/eternal stuff.

That or spend your honor points now.

Kinda irritating that they would make people likely have to change gems due to removing things like armor pen etc .and then remove an easy way to get them. I thought 100g or so for gems was reasonable which is the going rate for uncut gems on my server. This is going to drive the prices of gems up to 200g+ I guarantee. The devs must be jewelcrafters.

Oh well guess I better read up on what stats changed gem colors and stock up now.

Daeri, where did you see they are getting rid of transmutation cooldowns? dangit!!! I just leveled 7 jc's 2 weeks ago for cata :(
I swear I saw a dev post about items in cata having a cooldown for JC's and that those items would be used in crafted gear so hopefully we can still make money off whatever item that will be.

Daeri, where did you see they are getting rid of transmutation cooldowns? PTR notes from last week or so, just check mmo-champion news. It's a pretty stupid change. Alchemists can create as many as they want, and with the same patch you cannot buy them with honor anymore? Doesn't make sense, but well...

hmm... I wonder how the AH will respond... I"m thinking maybe I should buy up any cheap blue transmute gems now because once the only way to get epic gems is through them, the price has got to sky rocket. I mean, the amount of those gems being farmed is sooooo much smaller than the amount of honor/badges being farmed. They can still be bought with badges though right? Of course, people are going to want to save badges for justice point conversion so i'm thinking not many of those will come either.

PVErs don't make a lot of money doing what they like, but it's something. PVPers only lose money, unless you're gonna farm insignia's >.> It was a nice currency as it was, to bad it's getting changed.
