So with Frost and Triumph being converted to the same cost. Does this mean that I will be able to chain heroic runs and get full T10 gear? Thats what it seems like to me. Am I wrong?

Is it better to Hold on to all badges until the change or is it safe to go ahead and spend triumph badges on non tier stuff (rings neck ect.)

Here is my opinion, not fact. They are downrating frost emblems importance, since you will want new gear and it technically will be older gear. The upside is you can use some of your triumphs to help get T10 stuff. The downside is T10 will cost more then you think it will since they know you can use triumph emblems to get it. So I would buy every T10 item with frosts that you can (most expensive items first) before the switch over. Just think of triumph emblems as a head start into Cata gear. You won't want T9 gear since Cata blues are like iLVL 290+.

So my short answer, ignore triumphs and let them convert over. Work for frosts if you want, but don't worry, Cata offical date is Dec 7th, new quest items will replace T10 quickly.

actually with the changes to the point per badge rate last week..they are the same now.. so yeh youll be able to use triumph badges to buy t10 gear since the rate for triumph/frost are the same.
----------------

Both Frost and Triumph badges have been changed to convert to JP at 11.58 points per. That makes 1 Triumph badge = 1 Frost badge. This means that in order to have enough to buy the complete T10 (according to PTR values):....

Tier 10 Helm - 1100
Tier 10 Gloves - 695
Tier 10 Chest - 1100
Tier 10 Legs - 1100
Tier 10 Shoulders - 695

Total - 4690 (or 4690/11.58 ~ 406 (stupid rounding errors))...the difference is, that will be 406 of ANY COMBINATION (Frost or Triumph).

They likely made Triumph == Frost (instead of frost being worth more) because it would give an unfair advantage to raiders who had access to lots of Frost badges. Since the T10 pieces will likely be trumped by most quest greens, it makes sense for them to go this direction. I really like the 4pc set bonus for my feral druid tank but oh well

Im guessing that at this point in the game with just 2 mos til the expansion releases they want the max amount of ppl to get to see the content and end up with generally the same lvl of gear going into the new expansion..so made it easier for all to get that lvl of gear. Good for those of us that raid with 1 or 2 chars and have a few lesser geared chars that we box with. Either way doesnt really matter, seems like most of the real raiding guilds have more or less backed off or stopped raiding resting up for the expansion.
