Currently I'm a happy logitech G11 keyboard user. I also have a G13 gamepad. I'm a big fan of the 3x 6 G-keys on the G11. The G13 is only used for moving slaves (joystick) and some less important keybinds. Anyway ...
I feel that I need to replace my current one as some buttons are past due date. What I don't like about the G11 is the small buttons compared to a 'normal' keyboard. Also the new logitech G19 has only 3x4 G keys.
So what I'm basically looking for is a keyboard with big/normal buttons, that has 18+ programmable buttons, preferably to the left. If the keyboard has a 'soft' touch' (microsoft used to have such keyboards) that's even a bigger win. The less noise the better.
Anyone has anything to recommend or is logitech pretty much the only player?

zenga, what you should check out is the Logitech G510, the upgrade and replacement of the G11. I still use my G11 but had been waiting for this keyboard, it came out last month. Can't say that the keys are any larger but I like the size as it lets you span your fingers to those macro keys. Check it out at newegg.com:

Thanks there. At first sight I didn't see much difference with my old G11, apart from the lcd screen that 'ill probably never use. But then I saw in a review: 'The keyboard has full size keys with a standard QWERTY layout.' If this means that the keys are indeed bigger than the G11, then it's what i want. If not I better buy a new G11, the store around the corner has plenty of them in stock for 30 euros. Will probably wait till I see one in the stores here and ask to try it first.

I've been using the G510 for a few weeks now, it's very nice, I would definitely recommend it.
The only thing that surprised me about it (which I should have known by looking at the specs prior) is no USB ports on the back, which I was expecting simply because my older G15 had them.
I'm not sure about the key sizes. I think this has the same key size as the G15, but I wouldn't swear to it.

How does the multi-key input work? "Press any five keys at the same time and they will all be recognized, so you can do more things at once." I am thinking this might be helpful since commas in /clicks are gonna be gone in Cata.

I think that's pretty much how it sounds. Most (good) desktop keyboards work that way.
It means if you hold down Q+W to move forward, plus Shift+4 for an ability, they will all be recognized. If you've ever tried gaming on a laptop, you'll know that isn't always the case.

Zenga, I noticed you said you have the game pad in your other thread. The G13. Do you use that for movement?
I'm tempted to buy one but I don't know what I would use it for. I think my gameplay would suffer if I continued to use my keyboard for movement and used hotkeys on the G13. Whats your experience?

It's next to my G11 keyboard. And the joystick on it is easier / more precise to move slaves out of green stuff. Next to that I only use the gamepad for stuff like windowswapping, focus a new leader (10 buttons in total), eat / drink / accept macro's, switch spec, switch between pvp/pve spec, etc .. It's handy, but not sure if it's really worth the 100 euro's I paid for it.
I've tried playing with it in combination with my mouse, but if I don't move my keyboard away i get rsi. And not being able to type is not very handy tmho.

I like the new keyboard. For moving slaves out of fire I have bound my strafe keys to my mouse "tilt" wheel, if you have a mouse with a wheel that lets you rebind left and right tilt, it makes strafing sooo easy and makes strafe kiting even easier. you can strafe run and spam DPS at the same time!
