How are the skirmishes in LoTRo. I just started up a 6 man group and slowly working my way to 20. Are they a viable way to level and get loot?

This is what im planning to do aswell, yes i thinks its a viable way to level and you can gear some great gear from skimirshes vendors aswell. It will just take a lot of grinding and time to level all the way up to 60 though.

I found running full fellowship Skirms on my 5xRKs pretty hard. Especially when the slaves will select all the soldiers instead of the leader. But in a full fellow skirm, all mobs are sig/elite, so it takes time to kill them for not much XP. Best way i found wtih 5xRKs is to just 1 shot mobs on the run from quest location to quest location. IMO Skirms are shit multiboxing.

I had some problems with healing and/or selecting the pets to assist for a while until I adjusted the way I setup my mapped keys in ISBoxer. For healing, I have a 2 step keymap which executes on press and then release. The first step does F1 to target myself, and then F# to target the person I want to heal. The second step executes the heal. This has worked out pretty well with a minstrel healer. I would assume it would work just as well for an RK.

I have a similar setup for follow and assist. I make sure to effectively clear my target or select a known target before selecting the person I want to follow or assist (skill target forward or pure assist).

With just a little bit of thought and creativity, you can make ISBoxer + LotRO do some pretty amazing things.

Thats a pretty good idea I'm going to try that out later. I was thinking about putting together a more rounded group later. Right now I'm leveling 6 hunters as my pure skirmish team. I want to see if its viable with 3 protector solders and 2 healers.
