View Full Version : Antec 1200 case
Hey so i bought my new computer and i got everything installed. While aranging the wires in the back i noticed a 6 inch by 4 inch opening right beneath the motherboard(back side of motheboard is exposed). Ive watched numerous videos of this case and none of the othes have this rrectangle hole.It doesnt look custom done because the rest of the stock metal work fits aound the hole. I was wondering if this is normal o should i be sending it back?

Those holes are for mounting the backplates for aftermarket coolers (both air and water). It is normal to find them in cases that an overclocker might use. I would check the website to see if you have a newer version of the case that might be slightly different than the ones you have seen in videos if you are worried about it.

Who cares, rejoice. You don't have to unmount your motherboard from the case/tray just to put a cooler on!

I'm very happy with my Antec 900, and the 1200 is a little taller (more space).
Nice case, enjoy it.
