Hey, was wondering how multi-boxing works for a Hunter when:

Say I want to attack someone and keep moving backwords you jump, turn, shoot, and then face the right way again without missing a beat. Is this going to possible multi-boxing?

Also some advice on pets - im torn at the moment -

option 1: pink flamingo mazzarache and also the blue one for 2 unique pets.

option 2: the IN YOUR FACE pets, a big bear/gorilla pet just to annoy people like "AHHH PET SPAM ON MA SCREENZ"

option 3: much like option 2 except with the ones that breathe fire for added annoyance

option 4: Wind serpants for the lightning bolts.

option 5: the standard dps pets - cat for bg's and leveling scorpid for arenas

Im about to try dual-boxing for the first time to see how it goes when my new comp is finished - hopefully this tuesday. A lot of hardcore pvpers I know are transferring to Cyclone eu battlegroup, so will be re-rolling Stormscale horde if anyone is already multi-boxing there hihi!

Jump-shoot-kiting is going to be extremely difficult to multi-box. You will be better off trying to ping-pong kite in PvE. Screwed for PvP, let the poor rogue win for a change.

Easiest bet would be to run multiple computers with a wireless mouse with multiple recievers.

For a single machine setup you will need a software solution and that will probably start pushing the ToS boundary pretty hard.

Jump shotting kiting is possible, but only only your main, since your alts will be on follow mode. If you get jumped by a rogue, better off dropping a freeze trap from the hunter not being attacked.

Also what about boars as pets...their charge ability would be pretty handy in PvP...

Cheers,

The only hunters that could reliably beat my rogue was BM hunters standing on Snake Traps. Freezing trap is negated by the pvp trinket. You are better off using a Frost trap. It is essential to get out of melee range of the rogue and remove the crippling poison which is why BM is so powerful against rogues, unstunable and unsnareable.

Cheers for the replys

Hmm could try a boar.

Has anyone had any success in 2v2 arena dual-boxing?

I like the idea of having 2BM hunters aswell, will help a lot with co-ordiantion not being able to be stunned/feared.

Having 2 computers is not really an option at the moment, I looked at the keyclone and AHK (is that right ><?) seems they should work for me, but ye I guess the hunter turn shooting thing will be too difficult.

It is possible to jump / turn / kite with a group of hunters but it is ridiculously hard to do unless your "lucky". You need to rotate your hunters with each jump and have a main hunter with the largest agro, as long as he is being targeted by the mob and always in front by enough distance then u can jump turn / follow to return your following hunters, its tricky to do though.

I would also say that the best type of kiting I have found with multiboxed hunters allows you to do some great things, you can kite where no hunter has kited before (within smaller areas etc). You simply need to rotate your kiter and drop back your followers. Start kiting a mob as per normal with your other hunters on follow, when you get near to the end of area your kiting in break the follow on your other hunters, set them to follow another hunter, keep running on the main a bit more then fdeath.

The mob then turns and chases the other pack (u leave ur solo hunter where he is), kite to the other end and do the same. Now when you run back this time you pick up the hunter you left on its own on the first run, this means if your using 3 hunters you can happily rotate kite in any spot which has 15 seconds of run space. 4 hunters is preferable in case you get a resist or time delay :) .

I stand by Boars. My hunter used the same boar from 11 to 70; they're great tanking pets(if spec'd right they can (and HAVE) MT'd ony with BM assistance, PRE-bc) and Boar Charge is a very very useful kiting tool.

Only running two but I find with the extra trap cooldown (on RR through Keyclone) you even have chance to switch into Cheetah to get the distance. Then do a standard jump shot with the main but run through the alt/s so both/all are facing the kitee... Get off some damage and continue as before. Though I haven't even looked at PvP yet, I wasn't a big fan of Kite when I did on my 70 (before BC).

Eventually I will move one hunter to a third account and be able to field three hunters, which will be fun. :)
