Xfire Problems

For whatever reason Xfire completely lags my system out. I've got an I7 920, 12 gigs of ram, nice video card etc. Are there options I can tweak to fix it or is it a lost cause if i run 5x toons on one comp?

my first time to post, but a long time member (well, my first DB account that is)..

i’m using Xfire as well (cheap ATI 5830s), Phenom X4 and 8GB of RAM and running 5 clients using 2 monitors @ 1920 x 1200. i get 30-60 fps on the main client (1st monitor) while limitting my FPS to 30 for my 4 other clients on the 2nd monitor. i find that i don’t get PC (hardware) related lag if i run a max of 4 clients. i mentioned this to give you something to compare with the FPS you are getting. both my monitors are connected to the primary card by the way.

my advice would be limited aside from updating your XFire drivers without asking for more info such as more details about your setup (whatever is connected to your card from the mobo to the monitors) and connections. what’s the load on your GPUs by the way when your system lags?
