been using KC for 2 years now and it has never really failed me.

tho im currently building my 2nd 5m team to 10 box and im thinking IsBoxer might be more suited to my needs.

reason why i like KC is because i play my main on 1 pc with a 30" screen getting the awesome wow experience with max settings etc and on my slave comp i run the 4 other chars min settings etc, i rarely look at that screen, only the odd single char movement but that i rarely needed i just move them all instead and so on.

now 1 reason why i would be interested in IsBoxer is because of repeater regions ie i can setup grid/VuDoh eqv on my "main" and copy it to my healers and viola i would have click heal function BUT what i read is that ppl who do this run all chars on one comp with same resolution.

So im a bit ambivalent to since "no" pc will run 5x wow with 2560x1600 resolutiion :) and I am very much inlove with playing wow on 30" screen max settings and all that jazz.

So moving over to 10 boxing i will buy a 2nd slave, i plan to run 2 chars on my main pc (30" screen") and that will be the tanks ofc im pretty certain it will handle 2x wow 2560x1600, i will turn of some grafic settings since to much "glitter" will acctually make raiding and keeping track of 10 boxing harder.

So I hope i have described my plans as good as possible for anyone who knows enough of IsBoxer or KC switching to IS boxer to give me some pointers as to what i can get.

How would IsBoxer help me?

Now i will most likely get IsBoxer anyway just for fun to try something new since KC is not seeing that many more uppdates but I would be awesome if someone could acctually give me some direct pointer as to what "instant" improvemtns i could get.

so Main pc 2 chars (tanks) SlavePc1 4chars, SlavePc2 4chars

thanks in advance for any comments :)

Keyclone is like Windows 3.1 and Isboxer is like Windows 7. Make the switch you wont regret it. It will take you some time fo figure it out.

Ay Zub, tho it was sometime ago, i read it all again :)

I think what i was lacking is knowing how well it works with multiple computers which is the major functionality im looking for.

As I said I will probably get IsBoxer to findout for myself :)

Hmm how to put it,,, I dont know what i would need that in all honestly KC isnt already giving me today with next to zero problems, if it aint broken dont try to fix it :) but then again if you said "IsBoxer" now has the abillity to controll your chars with your mind,, kk then i would be convinced i need IsBoxer :D cause that functionality "i can't be without"

Anyway i like you resume and I think that was what got me intrigued in the 1st place

You don't need the same resolution in order to use repeater regions with vuhdo/healbot/grid. The addon frame just has to be the same size and in the same place on all of the windows, and within the size of the smaller windows (from the upper left corner of the window). Imagine the main window the same size as all of the smaller windows but its upper left corner in the same spot, if you move your mouse out of that imaginary area it wont be available in the smaller windows.

Thanks Lax, that was very informative and basically gave me "that functionality I cant be without" eureka moment ;)

i've now moved to a 2-machine setup: main in fullscreen on machine A and 4 slaves on machine B (one bigger area, and 3 smaller areas) and it works fine.

it's quick and easy enough.
Main things to look for when creating the 2 machine setup:
- define correct screen layouts for both machines (i use same resolutions and ratios)
- create2 character sets (one main, one slaves) and in the main one, just add the slave set in the "also launch" parameter :-)

the mouse broadcasting is very precise, the response times are good.
Get the trial version, don't forget to refer someone that was helpful (hint hint nudge nudge :-) and try all you can in the 7 day period.
the first day you'll be "hum what's that setting >.<"
the second day you'll be "ohh i get it.. OF COURSE"
and the third day you'll be multiboxing like never before :-)
4 days later you'll be "$10 per quarter? BARGAIN!"

Lax made a very simple "Multiple Machine' tutorial, visible here: http://isboxer.com/index.php/guides/22-using-multiple-computers
That's what i used and had zero issue.

My setup is identical to yours and KC worked just fine like you mentioned. My main pc I don't even use Isboxer, but I have a multiplexer instead. But I went and got isboxer anyways. The key things you might enjoy that I now do are: easy window swaps on your slave. I made my slave pc similar to that of someone boxing 1 pc. 1 large window with 3 smaller ones. The mouse broadcasting for ae ground spells or simply clicking stuff on all slaves is 99% accurate unlike kc's. There is tons more to mess around with too.

Also isboxer works on 3 pcs for the same price, which was a great deal compared to KC's.

One last thing, isboxer is fast, no errors or crashing like Kc does. And for pvp it has some wicked functions when slave swapping, like keypresses when u swap.toons of cool stuff.

I still just use the barebones of isboxer, but u may find your boxing capabilities will improve drastically with isboxer.

2x computers here, 3 screen on main 2 on second with ISBoxer! Works great. Was using key clone before. Worth the change. Makes things much easier.

been running it for a few days now, my only problem is that I find it more fun to play with IsBoxer then to play WoW so thats not good right ;)

Tbh I find the possibilites a bit "scary" especially the macro sessions, im no advanced macro programmer but even I find the usefullness a bit mind boggling :D

Lol spiderman quote come to mind "with great power comes great responsibility" ;) ohh well there is fun to be had again, took me less then 1h to get my new 5m team up n running.

I remember when i swiched from KC to ISboxer it was such a nice change :) mopre stuff to learn yea but when you get a hang of its so awsome, as you said i can sitt for hours just to make new stuff in Isboxer its damn fun haha^^

I also used 2+ computers at once with ISboxer working like a charm!

I hope your new project will be even more awsome Lax!

I got the itch to play again, so I restarted my 5 accounts and decided to try out ISBoxer (have used Keyclone in the past). I have to say that, even with the wizard, it is a challenge to figure out and get working smoothly. However, I am finding I really like it a lot. Nothing against Rob and Keyclone, but ISBoxer is SO much more flexible and powerful. I just wish it were easier to figure out and use. Maybe the upcoming IS 2 and Joe Multiboxer that Lax is working on will be that.
