Do you boost with a DK lol I just one hit everything.... seems faster to gather and AOE everything down but I cant put two diseases on something because crap just insta dies.

Isn't it faster to AOE crap down rather than one shot killing... I know i have to sound like a total idiot right now.... hehe

If you can kill things faster than you can gather them, then that is better as long as you stay in range of still getting xp on the alts, since you'll not be taking the extra damage of having 100 mobs hitting you. But if you have to stop moving to kill them then it is not faster.

I think the OP means this:

Gather 40 mobs on you, and as soon as you put a disease on a mob it dies, so no way to spread it. With a DK you are limited to your runes & weapon swing speed on how fast you can kill. Thus it's way slower than what consecrate would do for example. Scarlet monastery: I don't run towards each mob, but I usually just pull the boss or run within aggro range, to pull large packs. However .. how about death & decay, you can even glyph it just for your boosts.

Another idea might be to go for a boss, put the diseases on him. He might stay long enough alive to actually spread it

Boosting with a DK is simple, just follow these 5 steps ;)

Step 1 - Build a time machine
Step 2 - Go back to November 13, 2008
Step 3 - Level a DK to 80 and get crafted epics and some quest blues
Step 4 - Boost all the characters you want with ease and fun
Step 5 - Delete DK before returning to present day to avoid severe depression whenever you play them in current patch

Glyph for Death and Decay and talent it to reduce the cooldown on it, use that, Blood Boil, and Corpse Explosion for AoE grinding. As long as your dodge/parry is high enough, you shouldn't sustain much damage if you round up enough mobs. If you're at a boss, then set your main diseases on them, then spread them. If you're dishing out too much damage to set all diseases, then cast your most powerful one then spread. Pulling an entire instance at once for xp grinding is cool, fun, and fast, but if you're trying to loot as you grind, then you won't be able to get to all of the corpses before they start to disappear. I started running into that trouble in SM cause I wanted all the cloth/silver. So you gotta move fast for looting.

Blood Boil, and Corpse Explosion for AoE grinding.
This.

I used a 70 DK to level many groups through the vanilla dungeons using D&D, blood boil and corpse explosion, it's slightly slower than a paladin, but much faster than anything else and pretty simple.

I strongly disagree with that. While leveling my warlocks i didn't loot and at times i run into mobs i haven't looted several minutes after i killed them. Besides that, on my early runs i did clear the instance and loot afterwards without problems. So i don't really understand how you can run into that problem. Unless it has been changed recently.

Could you not just equip a lvl 1 weapon or something. Yes you would lose some damage - but you might be able to get a plaguestrike off and a pestilence before the bad guy dies?

This is why I love this site and it's community. Something that seems to be a major problem might have in fact a very simple solution ..

A useful tip for Death Knights and pulling mobs with low aggro range is (Glyph of Pestilence - extra 5 yards) then just pestilence all your targets while pulling (with no diseases) this in effect spreads nothing, but aggro's anything within pestilence range. This is also a trick to pulling massive amounts of mobs outside of instances as they cannot reset even though you're doing no damage.:)

Plague Strike
Pestilence
TAB
Icy Touch
Pestilence
loot underpants
PROFIT.

Personally I found it a lot easier to D&D, Blood Boil, and Corpse Explode my way to huge success.

Glyph pestilence to refresh diseases on your target as well as spreading them with every use.
As mentioned above, I always run to the boss, disease and pestilence immediately and then drop DnD.
Make sure to hit pestilence repeatedly since the mobs your targeting might die from white dmg before pestilence fires, and you really don't want to lose your diseases on 15 mobs at half health where you can't get your diseases up again.
And respec into perma-Ghoul, he'll chase down all the runners from a mass pull very nicely. Just take the tier 1 tanking talent from each tree and then go all the way to Ebon Plaguebringer, the one that gives you a third disease, you'll notice this a lot in bigger death strike heals.
Thats how i did it, with a DK around 4.3k gs, dps gear. Boosted RAF sets 1-60 in about 16 hours total, but that would be a lot faster with the gear i have now :)
