Another non-boxing link and it seems like the video isn't staying up long, so if the link goes down, just do a search for “Stairway to Heaven Climb”

My legs are still weak after watching this. I don't think I could do that job even for a winning powerball ticket.

I think of myself as a pretty manly man but I almost had a panic attack watching it.

Anyone else get sweaty palms while watching this?
I fly small planes and do occasional rock climbing, but this is CRAZY.

A video of a guy climbing a crazy tall tower, way, way taller than the empire state building.
Here's a pic from the video:

I'd do it, but it would take me a lot longer as my procedure would be:
1) Go up two rungs.
2) Reattach safety harness clip.
3) Repeat steps 1-2.

It is a helmet-cam shoot of a radio tower engineer, doing his climb to the top of a quarter-mile high tower, largely foregoing safety measures for the sake of efficiency. Ugh. No thanks, for any amount of cash.

Skydiving is on my list of things to do but... Just looking at that video made me break out in shivers and stress-sweat. No safety measures basically the whole way. And then when he's on top still nothing--A stiff breeze could've blown him off. No way.

found another link by searching youtube... OMFG.
I would probably be able to get to the top, but there would never ever be a single second that I didn't have at least one safety line securely attached.
I also consider myself a reasonably-manly man and got sweaty palms after a few seconds, then stopped it and closed the window about halfway thru the 7 min video. N F-ing way would I do that without using safety gear.
The link of the basejumpers seemed a lot more sane/reasonable than this moron climbing with no usage of safety gear.
At least falling from 1768 feet he'll have time to call his lawyer and dictate a will before he goes splat :P

I'm going to guess his employer is issuing the requests to kill the video.
Hopefully he didn't get fired for making the vid.

Well, I'm not terrified of heights but this still freaks me out.
So does that make me terrified of heights? I'm just not sure.

I was getting dizzy the whole time watching that... Everytime he would have to switch ladders i would have to look away....
I wonder how much these tower climbers make... its probably not enough.

I am pretty sure this is a copyrighted training video for those in the field. Companies pay big bucks for training and the associated videos. Having the video taken down is the copyright owners way of protecting their investment.
Btw the yahoo video was still up at the time of this post. /yikes Holy vertigo batman.

They'd be able to hear me screaming like a banshee from that 55 miles he mentioned too. Would suck ass if he had no cell coverage too.
The heights ain't what made me dizzy from watching it, it's the fact he moves his head around way too much. I'm still wanting to go sky diving, so who's with me? :D
