Alright I'm starting to seriously think about upgrading to 10-boxing. But before I go and get some more accounts I was wondering what you guys think about the minimal requirements for a 10-boxer? I don't want to spend too much money right now (gotta pay for a few expensive trips with my girlfriend pretty soon, meh :P), and have most of the parts I need already (at least I think I do).. I was thinking about using 2 PCs:

Currently I'm running on one PC with those specs:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit
Asus P6T SE
Intel® Core™ i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285
(Some intel SSD with 80 GB)

I have a few parts rotting in some boxes and thought about putting them together (with the exception of the CPU, need to buy it):
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit
Asus P6T SE
Intel® Core™ i7 CPU 930 @ 2.80GHz (Thats the only part I don't have yet, any suggestions?)
8 GB DDR3 RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260
(Normal HDD, maybe upgrade to an SSD later)

I don't need full graphics on on all my toons, but it would be nice to have at least mid graphics on my mains.
Also, what would you guys say is the minimum requirement of monitors for 10-boxing to make it enjoyable? I currently only have 2 x 24", but I'm going to add at least one more I think. Any suggestions?

I'm thankful for any comment :P

The Intel 9xx series uses triple channel RAM so you should be using 6 or 12 gigs in each box. The rest looks good

Ah alright thanks, I don't have that much knowledge when it comes to hardware sadly.. I'm using 12 GB in my current PC anyway, but thought I might just use one stick in my other PC and save some money that way. Not a huge problem though, RAM is cheap anyway.

When it comes to boxing, ram is key. I ran 10 accounts a while ago with 18 gigs of ram and a cheap pile of crap GC. It ran smooth as peanut butter.

Also note, the intel I7 are monsters with ram.

I'd suggest if you aren't already, maybe add your main(s) on a crappy pc, and all the slaves on the fast one. That's what i did.
