Could someone please let me know what addons you are using for layout optimisation.
I don't really keep up to date on addons and I think its time I use them properly.
I'm really looking for something which will make my bottom bar manage the space a lot better to cramp it all together.
If someone has a full addon pack with links and what they do please contribute!
Thanks.

Additionally. I would like to know how you manage your Addon GUI for different characters.. since it takes such a long time to move all the addons to the right locations on each character...

For compilations, browse this until your mouse buttons break...

Obviously, sort it by Downloads so you can see which is the most popular.

Using ISBoxer's sexy and flawless mouse repeating with matching resolutions I can setup as many UI's at the same time as I need. If you're not using ISBoxer, it is time to start copying and pasting the folders inside of your WTF folder and even then not all addons seem to reload themselves properly with profiles.

A very simple addon that helps you position your different UI elements is eAlign (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/ealign.aspx) Only thing you have to do is type /align to toggle it.

So you guys would use mouse repeater to do it on slaves also. I thought I could copy a config to do it. Something in WTF?

Easiest thing would be to create a new profile on the Addons with a UI on one character. And then copy the ADDONNAME.wtf file to the wtf folders of the toons.
Creating a profile is useful to use the settings for other characters or leave it away.
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/too-many-addons.aspx is an addon to choose addons on the fly and also with different profiles.

Is that how you guys manage your different teams. I have to disable them before I log in...
For example I don't need a lot of addons on my mage... which are Pally specific...
Do you guys use interfaces from that wowinterfacesite? Which one would you use?...

in the wow addon selection page there is a dropdown list that allows you to select addons for a specific toon only.
Select the addons of your mage with your mage, the addons of your paladin with your paladin, and the addons that both use with the default 'all' option :-)

The absolute easiest setup is "NUI" (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info9108-nUI.html) . It aligns itself to your screen resolution. No profiles necessary. The author stays on top of bug fixes and has beta and ptr versions up to date. NUI is hosted on wowinterface.
Notable features are automatic switching of unit frames when joining party/raids 10/25/40 mans. Integration of various optional addons such as Omen, recount, clique, fubar and titan panels.
Check it out, it is the lowest maintenance ui I have ever used. Saves boxers hours of ui setup and sh!t is always in the same spot for mouse repeating.

That addon looks like an absolute cluster f***.
I use this http://www.tukui.org/
or sometimes added layout packages based off of it that skin other addons to match it.

My system is way complicated as stated:
If you're not using ISBoxer, it is time to start copying and pasting the folders inside of your WTF folder and even then not all addons seem to reload themselves properly with profiles.
I set on my main, I then replace the name of the main with the name of the slave in proper files of the the wtf folder depending on which addon (some you need to do that some you don't), then I copy all the wtf folder to the slaves on 5 different computers.
I use Isboxer but I dont tile so ....
It takes time to set up but now I can do all changes on my main and automatically copy to all slaves the exact same layout. I ususaly set with the addons I dont need off (like the auction stuffs) and then just turn on by hand which is neeeded (like the auction on the trader character). I keep carbonite up on all of them cause its just to handy if I am moving one by itself.
You can see all the addons I use over at my web site. Just added gearscore and pawn to that list, but I don't raid yet. I save space by putting the combat window over carbonite (cause no need to use both at the same time), and the wisper chat window over the main chat window, again no need to use both at the same time.

The point of NUI is it isall one code package. I like the look of TUKUI and the fact it is all one code package. But I also like having my Omen and Recount integrated without me doing anything.
His screens (Tukui) don't show all the buttons. Do the buttons continue to the left and right of what is shown? Are they all available?
I don't like the complilation sets because when there are patches those nice ui's always break.
The only addons I use profiles on are Jamba and VuhDo, that is it. Makes my gaming a lot easier.

I have just bought a new monitor so I am hoping that I can run some of the 1920 interfaces now.
I think my resolution was awful.
Keep suggesting any if you use an interface you like.
I'mgoing to delete my /addons folder and start from fresh!!
If your willing to email me your addons folder drop me PM. :)

So, I tested out Tukui today for about an hour on a solo toon. It has a very small memory footprint of under 1mb. If I use it on my boxed teams I'll need to find a place for recount and omen.
My current build of Nui has developed a memory leak and if it isn't fixed by a reinstall I will move over to Tukui permanently.

Read an interesting link on the tukui site that indicated CPU usage is the better determinant of add on impact vs memory used. FYI.
Tukui looks pretty cool.
I'm wondering how easy it is to "switch back" if I try it and don't like it. I use ISBoxer.
Is it as simple as copying my interact/wtf folders and if I don't like tukui just copying them back?

Most of the edited packages for Tukui include Recount and/or Omen or at least have better room for them (if you dont mind using an edited pkg)

I'll take a look on the forums and see what is available. I need to figure out the basics, right now, such as how to move the totem bar from the top of the screen so I can make a totem selection. :)

/mss
it creates a lil tab that you can click and drag.
/mss again relocks.
(same with aura and shapeshifting bars)

My absolute favorite look at the moment and one i've adapted quite a bit is ncUI - screenshot link:

Was a pain in the bum to set up correctly and it changes a few things so be warned.
