Boosting with more than one 80

Hey all,

I've decided to level up a priest I got to 60 back when I was RAFing.. She's about to hit 65 and I was thinking of taking her to UK for the grind to 70s. I was thinking about plugging her in to my existing pally/4shammy team in the place of one of the shammies sso I could burn thru the dungeons faster. Anybody tried this before? I'm wondering if more than one 80 would reduce the xp/kill drastically, or if blzz considers one 80 the same as multi 80s for the purposes of xp nerfing.. Tried searching but either the idea is so stupid nobody has ever brought it up before, or the search engine just didn't know what I was looking for..

I've been sing a PRot Pally and a ret pally , both 80's to boost through UK and Nexus so far. Haven't really seen any major decrease inXP on my lvl 65/69 toons xp.

It's very doable man.

In my experience the boosted toon gets less XP per mob with 2 80s instead of just one. However, the speed at which 2 (or 3, or 4) 80s can kill things more than makes up for the XP/mob loss.

Of course, boosting multiple toons at once is best for levels/hr, but if you only have one toon you want boosted, load up all the other 80s you can.

Ya I know Im not being efficient by just doing the one toon, but right now I'm happy with my "standard" team for boxing, and the priest is the only one I could spare emblems for heirloom gear so far. I just really wanted a priest :)

Boosted a shaman from 70 or so with a Bear and dungeon finder thingo. If you don't care about loot take some other fools along with you and set your priest to follow the healer. goes nice and quick. :)

Easiest way is to just give it a shot? kill a mob with just 1 80 + priest, preferably with other lowerlvl chars in the group. Then get in the instance with the 80 team + priest and see how much exp he/she gets.

Actually as I was building the team in isboxer
, I decided to add in the 60 Dk and 60 war (still rocking lvl 1 gear) that were collecting dust, so just running tank and healer 80s. Doing underbog trash and it's working fine. Just have to stop frequently to clean up the tears of boredom.
