PvP/Priest + 4 Arcane Mage Combo Thoughts?

im starting a new pvp group this week and wanna know your thoughts on this team i thought would be most fun for me anyways priest + 4 arcane mages im not sure what to spec the priest. i do know the priest will be not be casting much. as my mages will be doing most of the casting and mana burning. arcane burns mana fast so ill have my mages use evocation and my priest use hym of hope at the same time to gain most mana, i was wondering if that was a good idea as well also holy nova and arcane explosion this would be good as it heals the mages and hits surrounding enemies.

i was wondering what kinda consequences would my mages have and my priest would have anyone who can share thanks :)

I'm about to try this combo in Cataclysm. It's just for fun really and I'm not sure if they are going to work out as good as they sound.

I would love to hear what others could do with that combo though.

Hmm im not sure i just want the most fun maybe a team locks would do any thoughts on this?

Locks get some nice stuff for a boxer in cata, (like the instant soulfire and Succubus AoE knock and some more nice stuff).. i think they will be very nice. and when the armor and hp gets more "equal" among the classes survivability will go upp aswell, thats their major flaw in Wotlk

A good idea is to keep yourself updated on class changes here http://forums.wow-europe.com/board.html?sid=1&forumId=10014 and on the beta forums.. things are subject to change!(lets hope they dont mess upp the goodies haha)
Also read trough the class preview for full Cata spells and such good info!

And also having alot of deamons is nice ^^

I plan on running 4 Locks 1 Priest(for PvP) will get you high HP buff aswell with both imp and Priest buff

The problem with mages and multiboxing for pvp is this: A solo player, playing a mage will kite every single opponent and has to avoid damage to stay alive. As a boxer it's pretty tricky to try and CC 3 people at once so you can finish people off without dying yourself.

Combination of squishy mages + reduced mobility due to multiboxing doesn't really match well in general. Though you can have a blast 1 shotting people with PoM.

I'm leveling Locks myself atm. 4 locks + resto druid.

nice may i ask why a resto druid instead of priest i know resto druids have trouble healing threw spike dmg

Because i got a 5,9k GS resto druid in pvp gear waiting :D

And it's a bit simpler to heal with a druid, priest has a lot more spells.

I've been playing a solo frost mage for the first time ever this week, and I don't understand how you could box this class in pvp with any effectiveness at all. All the things I love about the class, amazing kiting, control, cooldowns, procs, are all things that don't go well with boxing.

Your burst will be insane, but your survivabilty will suck.

To get an idea, play a solo arcane mage, but don't kite. Just stand there and cast.

Man i got a geared disc priest, its hard a hell to heal with him =/ especially when I cant see my PWS cooldowns lol.

All my mages are fire with dragons breath and living bomb.

Living Bomb is da bomb. 46 yard range, instant cast (so you can cast while running), no cool down cept gcd ...... my main pvp spell. And it stacks unlimited times (well one time per each mage).

And dragon's breath is really nice to stun an oppent at close range.


And I can't figure out why people don't get a circle of healing priest ..... always going for the single target heal instead of the group heal.

Oo I got a disc priest too and I have no problem healing with her at all. What do you mean with PW:S cooldowns? The debuff? You can easily set up Grid to show it on your main char.

Might have something to do with the fact that a priest heals more when he's alive. Holy priests die like a fly. Since your priest will(should) also be the target that takes most damage. Also in pvp AoE heal is fun, but that's not gonna save lifes. Penance does.

PVE =/= PVP.

Yeah disc has a nice dmg reducing buff, plus you can set up Grid to show the debuff from PWS (it will be a dot on the characters name). Good luck!

Below is my actionbar buttons on my team which is 1 priest + 4 mages i like to keep the bar neat and understandable as possible with less macros and stuff like that. let me know if you see any room for improvement please let me know it would be highly appreciated knowing that im still learning with isboxer and its lovely options for this kinda multiboxing/combo.

I was wondering what would be some good spell combos with this team or some advantages with my priest like with penace where would this go on my bar or mana burn stuff like that im not sure where to place certain spells.

With this setup my priest is a victim of being oom alot how can i tweak this any help.
