It's kind of old news, but I thought everyone should know so they weren't surprised like me! BFG Tech. is going out of business, and their warranty is not being covered. When I decided to start boxing, I paid the long dollar for a nice BFG 280gtx because the lifetime warranty was a great thing. Well my card just died, and with a little research I have discovered they are no longer covering warranties. So if you see a BFG card on sale, and wonder why it's a fire sale price... if ya don't know now ya know.

That's why I said it was old news in the first sentence. Not everyone hears everything, it was just for the folks like me who missed it, and expected warranty coverage. Thanks for calling me out on it though. Props.

Pretty sure BFG didn't have ATI cards.

Must be thinking of 3d surround

Your right, on the ATI cards thing.

I could have sworn I saw them doing the 6 Monitor cards the other day. I don't know how, but I got either HIS or XFX confused with BFG.

Too long a week.

I came close to choosing these for my tower right before I settled on my laptop instead. Was gonna get these cause Newegg was running one hell of a sale on them. Glad I didn't now. Thanks for this post, cause I'm one that never knew about this. I hadn't kept up on any of this for a while now.

damnit, that sucks. I have 2 bfg cards. One of them i replaced 4 times last year in warranty. No wonder they are going out of business. Still sucks i'm stuck with a couple of warranty less failures.

Um, no. They tanked because NVIDIA decided to not dispense FERMI to them.

One of the only BFG cards I ever purchased, was replaced 6 times due to card failure.
I ran it stock, never overclocked it or did anything I shouldn't have.
Card had a life expectancy of about 6 weeks.
Thank god they had "lifetime warranty" when I owned them.

Well, ironically, my 5th BFG video card just crapped out yesterday. Unfortunately, no warranty to be had on this one so i got robbed by a terrible company with bad manufacturing. Maybe there will be some class action lawsuit or something and i'll get 50 cents back of the $350 i paid for the card.

Lemon. I wouldn't be surprised if your system did something to it. Six times is not an accident.

Um, no. BFG was not a terrible company. NVIDIA is. I wouldn't count on getting anything back, but have fun trying!
