Saw quite an interesting documentary on deep sea diving where they go down so deep they thought no life was possible due to the immense water pressure, the temperature and the absence of light. Then they found these hot underwater geysers who had their own ecosystems and was absolutely teaming with life.

You can see it in the main high resolution images on nasa's website, the object is within the photo's taken. Just doubtful that the object is any more than a rock shaped like something we would consider "life".

Like Xzin says I'd be amazed if there wasn't life somewhere within the planet, but maybe not to the extent of fully evolved lifeforms,

I'm no conspiracy theorist, but, everything else aside: Of COURSE that's what they'd say :)

The government or any agency attached in any way to the government will ever admit to anything like that unless there is absolutely no way they can deny it.
People are sheep and the gov't believes they will panic at the first sign of anything outside of their normal lives.
