Man I'm so tempted to go buy a HD 5770 and just try it out. Dont suppose that it would work well for boxing though since it looks primarily full screen application based.

But for single player games CoD or Dragons Age that kind of thing looks amazing.

Someone tell me its not worth it so I can stop wanting it...

It's BIIIIIIIIIIIIG. Almost too big. And AWESOME.

Oh, as far as windows are concerned just put your extra character windows as small as you can across the top.

High resolutions are GREAT, yes, but to be honest I'd trade it for a 30/40" screen. If you already have the monitors and multiple graphics cards there are software solutions you can use to get eyefinity-like solutions WITHOUT getting a new graphics card.

It can be great but I find myself mostly disabling it. My best experience with it has been in Valve games but for most games it can be annoying and require alot of fiddling.

The annoying part usually comes from UI elements being places in odd places such as to the far left on the screen in Dragon Age.

And the fiddling part is from the fact that many games just dont work well or at all with Eyefinity, I was looking forward to playing Borderlands in high resolution but you cant really use sprint at all in Eyefinity due to a bug and that makes that game slow paced and boring.

It also requires alot of gpu power, I have a 5970 card and have to run Dragon Age origins and many other games at low gfx settings in eyefinity resolutions.

I have a 77" big screen and I prefer sitting close to that while gaming really, it works perfectly and you get about the same immersiveness.

Its great when it works but its not really well supported yet and new drivers wont do much as its the games that must support it.

I have a 5850 and all I've had to do in DA:O is turn down AA to 2x with everything else very high.

I have lag with frame buffer effects enabled :P
What resolution are your monitors? Mine are 1900x1200 for a total of 5700x1200 resolution, with bezel compensation enabled its around 5900x1200 res.

I run in portrait mode for 3454x1920 (3x1920x1080) (bezel management) with frame-buffer effects.

Weird..
Maybe I should try it without Crossfire and see how that performs.

I just ordered a 5850 card btw, gonna run trifire with the 5970 :Hopefully this should solve some things Ive been abit annoyed over :)
