shaman dps and priest healer, dungeons

so ive been questing leveling as an elemental shaman and a shadow priest. currently level 22.

ive noticed that i get xp way faster in dungeons then i do out questing, so ive been queing as dps and going that way, but im getting sick of the queue times as dps. i would like to queue as a healer/dps combo, but im worried i wont be able to heal and dps two chars at the same time..

as dps its easy, i can just target one mob and spam my key clicks to dps it with both chars. but as a healer targeting party members and my dps targeting mobs... im not sure where to begin.

currently im using autohotkey and many misc macros... also have a dual moniter setup, so each wow window is on its own screen.

what would be my best bet?

What software are you using (edit: durrrr! sorry I didn't notice you were using AutoHotKey)? If you are using ISBoxer you should learn to use healer regions and something like VuhDo. It lets you click a unit frame of someone in your party on the character you are driving with and heal the toon you click. Then toon B assists toon A (your healer) while you heal the snot out of the rest of your party.

not sure how it works with AutohotKey, but if you were to lead/drive from the healer, you could very easily do this using addons, for example Clique.

Grid will allow you to cast a spell by clicking on their portrait
So basically you could target an enemy (and your slave would therefore too) but heal your team by clicking on their portrait. For example right click renew, middle click shield and left click Greater Heal, or whatever you wish.
clique makes so when you click a portrait you do not change target to that toon, but cast the spell instead.


if you're going that way, i would suggest also using the "Grid" addon. makes it easier to click the grid cells rather than the team portraits.


yes, healer+dps is definitely the way to go, you'll cut your wait times by 10.

I played the healer by my self and defined 5 Bars for every player in the group. (or use Heal Addons)
On the bars i had macro which worked like /target player1 /cast heal /targetlasttarget

so i lost just very short time my target but the heal runs ... so no issue with the targeting


I clicked the healing and managed the dps of my warlocks with keys.

Try it .. was hell of fun!
