So I got my new computer, as mentioned in another post, and just today got the internet hooked up today. When I downloaded and started up the WoW Installer my internet connection would take a huge dive down in bandwidth. LIterally 15Mbps -> 1Mbps. So Basically I'm asking if there are any mac users out there that wouldnt mind compressing their wow folders and sending them to me somehow I would be insanely grateful.
Desperately wanting to log onto wow for the first time since I moved out over a month ago,

so let me get this straight... you want someone to compress their wow folder and send it to you!! you would probably be better off asking for somebody to download the major mac patches and send them to you instead. as currently most peoples wow folders are running at around the 18GB mark.

Ya I figured it could be a bit of a longshot, but i really don't know how else to do it. My job is webwork from home and I can't have that kinda bandwidth tax ya know? And besides who knows what its messing with thats chopping me down so low. I'd rather not deal with this buggy build of installer for mac :/

Just a note to anyone considering this...DO NOT SEND OUT YOUR CONFIG.WTF! Your email address is probably listed in it!

Your download of 1Mbps is faster than most people's upload I'll bet. I've only got 768kbps myself...
Try some patch mirrors (http://www.wowwiki.com/Patch_mirrors) [from non-Blizzard sources].

Thank you everyone for your help with this, after scouring the mac forums I found someone who had this same issue. The fix was actually rather simple, just requiring I download classic wow first, then BC then WOTLK. So there is something up with the Mac Installer Client torrent [I believe that is how the patch files are downloaded?] that bugs out everything when you try to get all of WoW in one go. So I woke up this morning and started WotLK which is now sitting at 43%.
Thanks again,
Vasyl
P.S.: Turned 18 today! Whooooo :D
