View Full Version : [ISBoxer] Where the heck is this key binding?

I've spent an hour looking for this key binding. It's driving me nuts.

I want to use ctrl + alt + 1 or 2 for something in game. ISBoxer uses those keys as window swapping keys. I can't for the life of me find where the heck the binding is listed in ISBoxer.

I think I've spent a good 10 hours of my life trying to find key bindings in ISBoxer. I love this program. It's awesome. I just wish I didn't have to play hide and seek every time I want to change a key binding.

Yeah navigation takes some practice - try clicking on your team name, then toon and there will be a key bind for swapping Windows. You can set keybinds under keymaps.

I found it, thanks. There was no binding set for this so it was being set to the default, which is a little misleading considering the fact that a blank box means that the binding is set to something.

I really love ISBoxer. It's very powerful and has all kinds of cool features. I just really wish the key bindings were displayed in a more logical manner. I've wasted countless hours trying to find various bindings that are tucked away in very counter-intuitive locations.

Right, there's a few things that are built into Inner Space that ISBoxer leaves there by default. This is counter-intuitive for a typical ISBoxer user, and in Joe Multiboxer (http://www.joemultiboxer.com) when that comes out, this won't be an issue. It'll be easier to manage ;)

The console with ` (F12 for those without a ` key) is one example. It's configurable in your ISBoxer Character Set, but if the box is not checked the Inner Space default is used.

The Ctrl+Alt+1 through Ctrl+Alt+0 bindings are another example. If you do not set a Hotkey per Slot in your Character Set, these are there by default from Inner Space.

Well, at least now that I've been playing with it for a while I have a pretty good idea of where everything is.

Here's one more for you:
When ISBoxer is running I cannot type capitol R in chat, even if I have maps and repeater turned off.

usually because it may be assigned to another keybind in WoW. Unless Lax thinks of something better...

It's while I'm typing. I can't type capitol R in chat. WoW key-bindings don't prevent you from typing things in chat. I can type capitol R in chat when I playing a single instance of WoW without ISBoxer.

I've been up and down the bindings and I don't see any bindings for capitol R.

Not 100% sure here, but are you using ftl setup in Isboxer? If you are and one of your toons FTL buttons is shift, then this may affect a keybind that is bound to R...

Do you have something bound to the R key? Is it configured to use ftl? Do you have other alpha keys that are bound and not working with shift? Can you type capital R using caps lock?

This is probably what it is. I'll check how stuff is set up when I get home. I use R as my follow key, which uses FTL.

FTL does not affect the HOTKEY you use, just what is SENT to other windows. If you press Shift+R, it will not activate a "R" hotkey in ISBoxer (in WoW it would).

I would have to see your config to tell you what you have bound to Shift+R. The closest thing by default is the repeater toggle Shift+Alt+R, there isn't anything that would block Shift+R unless you made it
