View Full Version : [ISBoxer] Creating a 'toggle' switch

I have read Ualaa's long ISBoxer post on several occasions trying to figure out how to do this. First off, I know about 11% of what ISBoxer can do. After about a year I learn new stuff ALL the time.

Here is what I want. I want to setup a hotkey to catch eclipse procs so when it procs (I will see the procs on my current window) I hit Ctrl+F1 (or whatever I pick that isn't used) and my druid magically starts spamming the 3 (where wrath is) key whilst I keep spamming 2. Then when it procs again I push Cltr+F1 again and he goes back to spamming 2 (which does starfire).

This sounds simple enough but I can't make it work :( I'm pretty intimidated by ISBoxer, tbh. I was gonna PM Ualaa and have him try to splain it to me but I figured he's busy doing brain surgery or repairing rockets or whatever he does when he isn't playing WoW.

Anyone have a layman's explanation for how to do this?

Might be easier to utilize the second action bar (default is shift 2), just put all the other buttons the same, but have your 2 key different, one is starfire, one is wrath, and set a isboxer key to send the appropriate command to the druids window.

Probably, but I need this functionality for a few other things besides the eclipse procs. I don't actually play the druid that much :/ Things like free Shadow Bolts. Also, I have unbound the Shift and Ctrl paging functions. I kept having one toon on a page a blank action bar :/

Make two action target groups (ATG):

ATGstarfire
ATGwrath

Make a hot key, called on by Ctrl F1, that has two steps.
-FIrst step: have the druid in question leave ATGstarfire and join ATGwrath
-Second step: have the druid in question leave ATGwrath and join ATGstarfire

On you "2" key, have it do two key map actions

Send "2" to everyone in ATGwrath
Send "3" to everyone in ATGstarfire

voila

There was a post where someone explained this, specifically for druid's eclipse.
I read it at the time, but didn't understand it at the time, so didn't do anything about it, but yeah, it irks me to no end that my druid in same gear is doing 500dp less than my mage who has a 2 spell macro >.<

the action bar change suggestion is a good one (but indeed you can't apply that to everything)
cast spell1 > spell1 > spell1 > *ECLIPSE* > activate macro to change actionbar > cast spell2 > spell2 spell2.
best thing is that you don't need to retoggle it, you just proc the other eclipse instead.
Still a lot of micro management compared to FS LvB LB or Frostbolt spam

[Edit] ah, there you go, it was a post from Owltoid, who replied same time as me :-)

I believe Eclipse Toggle is an example in the Keymap Section of my guide.

Yeah, Ualaa, I have read it many times but I don't fully grasp it :/ Thank you for the amazing stuff you post, I just need someone to chew if a little for me first.
