View Full Version : Pala, Sham, Lock, Mage, Priest group
I have a retired pve group from a few years ago. 70 paladin, 66 mage, warlock, priest, shaman. I'm happy 2-3 boxing for now with new characters and my paladin as a booster, but reading some of the posts here got me thinking.
1. I see some of the 5-box groups here are crushing heroics in 15-30 minutes? Damn! Would a mixed group like mine be able to do that at 80, that fast? Or would it be more like an hour+ each instance?
2. How many hours/days would you guess it'd take for them all to get to 80? PvE server.
3. Would this group be fine in Cata? Or who would you sub?
I'd post this in the group composition forum, but I don't have access yet. Kinda itching to know this stuff now. Thanks!

It all comes down to you really, and how you play your team.
sure multiclass teams are harder, but not slower, it will take more effort for macros and such to get the DPS up, AoE and such, but you should be able to do heroics fast and sweet with a multicomp group, and most of these 15 min vids they outgear the instances, so dont expect it to go in 15 mins on the first try :P
Takes alot of patiance and risenrepeat to get the speed going :)

I just started a Warrior(tank), paladin(dps), rogue, shaman(enhance), priest mixed team myself last night! I don't have any amazing advice for you as I'm just starting, but I guess I'm just lending my support saying GO FOR IT! (I am, and I have no idea how this will work out haha) I'm rolling it up for pve, after playing quad shamans for pvp for a year. I donno why I want a melee pve team, but I do!
Now to level them all to 10 so they can meet up in the barrens!
Good luck!
Ok thanks for the advice:)

I would probably sub a druid in for the warlock, just because the battle rez and extra hots (and mark of the wild) have helped me out lots of times, however i think your composition would work out just fine. As stated before doing 2-4 instances per hour would not be a problem once you get geared up with badges.

Don't forget to test your rotations on the target dummies to work out any kinks. Nothing like starting your first instance only to have your dps stand there with "thumbs up butts". :)
