Not sure if this has been discussed before, But it would be nice to have.

As an example, let's take Occulus. Say Player A is a healer, and has the tank as the Focus. (Or DPS if using a PDS macro to attack the tanks target.)

You jump on a Dragon, have fun flying for 30 seconds, land and then have to reset your focus. Now for guild groups this is no problem, as you can simply write a macro, and throw it on the right action bar.

But for Pugs, it might not be so easy, if your a slow typer etc.

I suggest, that instead of these workarounds, after each dismount, you simply set the focus once, and it stays that way through your vehicle event, and dismount.

Not sure if this is even possible given the mechanics, But it would be nice to have.

One poster mentioned having Vehicle extensive Instances in cata, so If we could put some friendly pressure on Blizz for this.

Sure, same with pets. If I set the focus to a voidwalker or a monkey, mount up on a normal mount, and then dismount, the focus is lost.

But really, for these types of setups you likely want to go focus less anyways. Even for a pug 5man 45minutes its not that much work to add someone to jamba quick. I am sure you are doing this anyways if you are raiding your guys anyways.

Jamba allows you to set focus?

I didn't know that. I do know that with Healbot, right clicking on a name, and choosing set focus doesn't work at all. Always gives an error. Even for DPS, I mostly have it set to myself, as If it's an unknown tank, I have no idea what target he might try and get.

I think your setup of switching focus units very often might be improved greatly if you were to cast spells on unitnametargets instead.

Jamba is going to have those macros already made before combat begins and when you run them they are go to go during combat. When you are trying to dynamically change the focus during combat in some insecure unitframe I assume that where the UI your using bombs.

I have a maintank and offtank jamba-tag setup, when I am with other people I just setup their name as offtank and it works fine. You might want some "/cast [@#offtank#, nodead] [@#maintank#, nodead] spellname" logic just incase you loose a dude.
