Currently I am tri-boxing three mages. Leveling is great, macros are set up fine. I simply have one problem.

LoS

Since my two alternate mages are simply constantly on follow, they have no intelligent way to turn and rotate as their target moves about. An example may be my three mages are frostbolting a rogue in Warsong Gulch, the rogue sprints and runs past my mages. My main can handle it as any caster might, and simply follows the rogue while casting with the A and D buttons, but my alt mages are left standing with their back to their rogue.

Sorry if its a little vague, i guess to sum it all up; is there anyway for my alternate mages to literally track their target?

Thanks!

No.

You can try turning with the keyboard by passing two keys for turning left and right, for instance [ and ] or maybe use CTRL + wasd to make the alts turn also.

Channeled spells will "track", ie arcane missiles.

Or you can come up with an elaborate way to pass mouse looks to your clones but this will heavily depend on your key/mouse passing software/hardware.

I will be doing something far more elaborate to solve this later on but here is a simple version for you since you only have tow orry about 2 alts.

on both alts unbind the left and right arrow keys (normally used for turning left and right) now on 1 alt rebind the left arrow key to turn left, on alt 2 rebind the right arrow key to turn right.

now when you need to turn them hitting the respective keys will turn the alts. If you want them to move together and dont care about being able to do them seperately dont bother with any of the above and just use the arrow keys to turn them.

Or step back through the alts, they'll turn to follow you.

This actually isn't as much a problem if you were boxing locks, as their affliction dots don't require los. Corruption, seed of corruption, curse of agony (all curses), siphon life and unstable affliction can be cast on targets not directly in LoS. Unfortunately nukes like searing pain, shadow bolt and shadow burn do require LoS. One downfall to locks however is low burst compared to mages.
