People use /click to setup a dps rotation. I don't use it and only know basics, so just search the forums here or wiki. I'm pretty sure there's a good explanation on how to use it.
Use this to search is my advice: http://www.google.com/cse/home?cx=008057042136573243121%3A8oo5ucbwy-s (thanks to otlecs)

I have a multi caster team and what most people do is have a single dps button setup that uses either /castsequence or the /click method to dps.
I personally use the /click method and it works great. I used the macros in the Wiki for /click and tailored them to my needs.
I have various utility talents on their own buttons (innervate for example).
so I spam the "1" key for my guys to dps, which is also tied to my 969 prot paladin tanking macro.

Was wondering for the /click is that just for the dots or for casting spells also? dw did some more research and found out i still got the pally macro :D havent used many macro's for a while forgot how handy they were

i got pally, balance, 2 shaman, spriest. So many utilities! So many spells. I still don't feel like i have played this team to its full potential. I have almost map out the whole keyboard litter with spells.
1234.....aoe, emergency, utility, misc. .... 0 - = buffs
qwerty... dps /click dps rotation on R. tyuio.... some heals ...p[ ] more buffs
asdfg... movements
zxvb.....tanking, /click V tank rotation
the 2 side vertical bars: shift1234... shift qwert.... out of combat stuff like eat drink mounts professions heathstone revive etc.
ExraBar addon to put my macros for V and R. as well as switching macros in and out for situations/bosses. Others spells i might use some day.
I made dummy macros on my tank so i would know where the utilities are on the slaves, silence purge, windshear, innervate....and so on and so on.... etc.
Damn its a fucking mess.
Oh where the hell did i put the racial spells!!!!

A good thread to read: http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=30453
there's also some information in this topic: http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=31106&highlight=wipe
excerpt from my post:
It's not hard, it just takes longer to configure.
The important thing is to have an idea of how the classes work. Then you can pick the 3/4/5/n abilities to use and start making macros. Start with simple ones (like those you listed) and add to them as you go.
If I were you, i'd jump directly into the mixed team. Just because at least you'll be advancing while trying things out and won't have the feeling of wasted time.
I personal use about 9 main macros for my toons, so that's 9 keys for 90% of the play actions
- 1/ buff. Each toon has a macro that casts all possible buffs on the party. i use it at the start of an instance or after a wipe
- 2/ prep. pre-pull action (PoM, Totems, switch to correct form etc)
- 3/ pull sequence. the tank starts building agro alone
- 4/ dps rotation. each toon starts dpsing, the tank has his tanking rotation, and the healer has a tank healing rotation
- 5/ special. each toon has his special abilities (starfall, bloodlust, treants)
- 6/ aoe: Fire Nova, Hurricane, Blizzard, holy nova etc
- 7/ help: each toon has his oh shit botton (ice block, desperate prayer etc)
- 8/ regen: shadowfiend, managem, innervate etc
- 9/ taunt: tank taunt, dps and heals throw threat reducers (wind shear, fade etc)
a normal pull just goes like this: 2-3-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-loot . The other keys are just 'in case'
added to that you have utility macros (hearth, eat/drink, accept LFD etc)
having a group with 4 of the same class will not make it simpler in terms of how things work, it's just the name of the abilities in the macros that will be different.

Multiclass teams really aren't that hard if you spend the time with it. My current setup uses 1 pull button, 1 spam button, 3 proc buttons. I don't use Grid for healing, I use mouseovers. My buffs are on my follow button {managed by SmartBuff}.
Learn how to set up a proper DPS rotation using /click or standard castsequences. You're making things far too complicated and inefficient putting individual spells on hotkeys.

To put multiclass in perspective. If you compare how responsive we are to encounter events, starting dps on time and being attentive in general..... We are doing much better than your average slacker pug member who doesn't even realize they need to move out of the fire and thinks the healer should just heal them through it. :)

I took a methodical approach to playing a mixed team...my team was prot paladin, ret paladin, feral druid, enhance shaman, and resto shaman.
What I did was create a spreadsheet with columns..each column was mapped to a type of ability (burst, mana regen, etc). What I tried to do was group in one button abilities that had similar or identical cooldowns but ALSO similar functions. For example, I created a button that would: wings(paladins), spirit wolves(enhance shaman), berserk(feral druid), trinket(resto shaman).
Some types of abilities make more sense on round robin rather than pressing them all at once. Crowd control is one of these...I had the retribution paladin's cc first, then the 2 shaman hex, then druid roots, etc. I also used round robin for spell interrupts (Hammer of Justice, Wind Shear, etc).
In terms of a dps button, click macros simply rock. I recommend trying some of the ones on the wiki, but you will quickly tweak them for your own use.
I don't really think that there is a shortcut to making mixed groups work....the quality of your team's performance is going to be directly proportional to the amount of time you take to synergize how it operates.

Beware, if you advertise that you use /click, you may be called a noob. Some people do not use /click and they are elite warriors, you can only bask in their glory.
/click macros can be daunting at first, and will probably seem like a PITA. Once you get your first character set up with their /click macro, you'll feel really good and be ready to tackle the next one. In the end I actually like making click macros and tweaking them, it's nice when you get them right. Use the target dummies in capital cities to help.

I have a question I have been testing out the click macro's system but when i press my buttoms it seems like it lags anyone else have this problem?

It lags when using /click macros? Or just regular spell casting? What lags? Is there a delay from button hit till spell start?
I actually recorded a howto on /click macros last night. Once I get home from work today I just need to edit it then upload it to youtube.

It applys to melee teams more than anything else. On my caster team I never pay attention to what the bosses did. Everything is a tank and spank. I just keep an eye on the tanks health and heal, especially since they are heal mix. When i started my melees, I wipe and "oh gee whiz, i never knew it did that."
