Hi all,
I am new in dual boxing and so far everything is good except one annoying problem.
I am leveling two shaman, one is lead and the other follower. The follower guy cannot catch up with the lead one and after a while it stops following the lead for no reason.
Can someone help me to solve this problem? it does bother me alot.
Peace

And just for your information, I am using one computer and my fps is about 30-60 with both wow running. And connection is good. I run it with two different computers and it does follow regularly without any problem.

You havent mentioned any levels or anything. Does one of them have a run speed enchant?

No, both are shaman. and they are level 27 right now. I use Ghost Wolf for the leader, which is 40% speed increase and the follower is on the mount with 60% speed increase. But still the faster mount cannot catch up the first one and after awhile it does stop following. Neither are using any speed enchants.
I used the normal walking and still this problem. I used both Ghost wolf or Mount, but still it stops after awhile.
I use Keyclone as my software if it does help.

You might add Jamba as Follow-strobing might help. This is an odd problem.

The only time I've ever had this happen is when the leader is faster than the follower. Does it happen if you switch leader/follower?

It should happen as the follower is mounted and the leader is using ghost wolf. OP stated he tried just walking and both mounted. Weird sauce

A little test you might want to do to:
1) Line them up next to eachother.
2)Have a different key (just for this test) set as forward for both toons (1 makes the first toon run, 2 the 2nd toon)
3) Press both buttons at same time, set a finish. See who wins or if they arrive at the same time.

You're sure that it's not an action that intterupts the follow? Like by accident pressing WSAD or have them broadcasted while typing on the leader?
What is the name of the mount the follower is on?
60% at level 27 ?

you get 60% at level 20 now
I used to have this problem, when i used to alt tab. basically with both wows open one would lag when not the focused window.
so basically i looked at window A, good fps, no issue. Atl-tabbed to window B, same fps, no issue.
Set toon B to follow toon A, alt-tab to window A and run. after 200 yards toon B is slowly getting distanced and finally follow breaks.
i believe i worked around that issue by minimizing the background wow back in the days. (that was before i used any type of key broadcaster) and on a slower machine. Don't know if it's related to your issue

I think ZUB hit it on the head. The background instance is FPS limited and causing the character to fall behind. This used to happen alot in Shat during peak hours. The slaves couldn't update fast enough with FPS set really low. Losing follow happened alot then.
I am guessing the OP needs to limit the foreground FPS a little more so he can raise the background up enough to keep pace.

This also may depend on what kind of system the OP is running.

So if you reverse this, where the first character is following. Does the first character keep on running into the second character slowing down and then resuming. Almost like they have the carrot and the stick trinket, or high speed mount or something?
if you have both characters race each other, numlock down 3...2...1 and you watch them. Does one or the other teleport a bit and then catch up from time to time? I would think you need to reduce your graphic settings to the right most position and see if that helps.
I definitely see this (where the slaves will stop following) with flying mounts and crusader aura if the paladin is leading / being followed until i got a crazy system.

All the first mounts run at 60%, epic at 100%, normal flyer 150% swift Flyer starts at 280%

Thank you everyone for you replies. Yes the problem was the FOCUS. both wow window had to be in focus in order to remove this issue. So with keyclone maximizer I see both wow windows with one as normal and the other small window just to see. Now I use the same mount speed and with no problem.
Once again, thank you all for your time and replies!

Glad you figured it out, as it was real odd. Don't make us scratch our heads, some of us can't spare the hair.
I have lived in the Seattle area all my life. Currently I am near the north King line
