Yes I've read the wiki and several guides and webpages and watched videos, I understand FTL is Focusless, Leaderless, Targetless Setup.
But I still don't understand it, I don't understand what the modifier keys are, how it works, I'm so confused.

Can someone explain it to me using just 2 characters for example instead of the normal 5.

So how would one go about using a 2 man FTL setup.

Did you use the ISBoxer wizard to set up your toons? If not, go back and do that.

Do you see the FTL Keymaps? All those do is first call the FTL Assist Me keymap, and then do your normal action.

Back in the HKN days we had to actually understand how FTL works and build it into macros. ISBoxer has that all "automated" now so you don't have to worry about it.

I have it set like this http://img840.imageshack.us/img840/7866/imanewb.jpg

But I do not understand the modifiers. Do you mean it is automatic as in with this setting if I cast lightning bolt my slave would do it on my target? Because the healing of my target isnt working.

The picture is blocked for me (at work) so i can't tell what you're doing.

You don't have to worry about the FTL modifiers as long as your key map starts with the "Do Key Map" action of "FTL Assist Me" (doing this from memory... I'm sure Lax will be along soon enough to clear up my mistakes)

using IS for 2 characters is just as easy as 5. Forget about modifiers in IS, ISboxer set them up for you.
The screen you show should be left as is to start with, untill you learn the meaning of the changes. i have used IS for a year and never change that screen,
Healing does not work the same a cast spell. as FTL set the mob as the target for you. Healing you need to set the target or WoW thinks you want to auto-heal yourself. You can either make a macro to heal or use a healing add-on with a click system.

The way it works is the 3 FTL functions (follow, assist, and target) are set up with in-game macros bound on different keys. The modifiers tell the in-game bindings which person to follow, assist, or target. The macro knows that if Shift+F11 for example) is passed, it should follow the character in slot 1. You do not need to do any special configuration to make it work. It just does.
