The past few days I've been bombarded with phishing emails on email accounts I've only ever used for Runes of Magic. Looks like Frogster sold their mailing list of Runes of Magic subscribers  So make sure you're checking any links you click on. So far they've all been WoW cata phishing emails.

Good thing I used disposable email addresses.

I think a lot of places must have sold their email lists. My Gmail spam box has been flooded with Cataclysm fishing messages...I'd almost enjoy seeing a medication spam email or a fraud email scam spam email just to break up the flood of Cataclysm Scam Invites! The only thing Cataclysmic about this expansion has been the spam emails!

I've been getting phishing messages to the address I provided to Wowstead (wowstead@mysubdomain.myisp.co.uk). Now everything to that address is getting auto deleted.

gmail has a handy way to track who gave out your email. Sign up for gmail (address@gmail.com) and then when you sign up somewhere else append a description after email, i.e. address.dualboxing@gmail.com and if dual boxing sold your email you would find out in the header.
I'm just too lazy to do it, lol.

I can confirm they either sold their database or it was compromised.

I signed up for 6 accounts with ROM 2 years ago. I created 5 new emails on my domain name as they have to be unique per account. These emails were never used for anything else.

Last week I logged back into them to reset passwords and each of them had over 500 phishing emails in them.
