Do ing a RAF, one team is 2 locks at 18. Pretty much done all the kill quests in Westfall. I could run them through Deadmines with my Druid (BK/tree) to level them up.
Otherwise I guess I should start on Redridge Mountains and get their mounts at 20. Gold is not a problem with 3 80s. I hate rez'ing lowbies but is boosting faster?

I do think so yes.

this is how i boosted my 3x locks to 80 (using a ret pally 3.9K GS - nothing special)
1-20 Questing (3x locks on their own)
20-25 Shadowfang Keep
25-40 Scarlet Monastery
40-45 Zul Farrak
45-58 Scholomance
58-59 Outlands Questing (3x locks on their own)
59-63 Ramparts
63-68 Sethekk Halls
68-74 Northrend Questing (3x locks on their own)
74-80 mixture of Instances, PVP and Questing

From 1-10 Quest (5+ levels an hour)
from 10-20 SFW (5 levels an hour)
20-40 SM (5 levels an hour)
40-45 ZF (2.5 levels an hour)
45-60 Scholo (3 levels an hour)
So you should be 60 in about 16-20 hours. Done this run on about 6 teams so far.

You guys do know you can get into ramps at 55, right? The xp/run is much higher, and the instance is so much quicker to clear. Not to mention the loot is actually useful.

the whole debate about what is quicker/better has been discussed here many times before, and it is pretty much covered in numerous posts. lots of people are split in their choice as to what is actually quicker, because what might come easy to one person and flow really quickly can be a nightmare for someone else.
If i'm boosting I personally prefer running Scholo, as it is an easy instance to run (on auto pilot mostly :p, also spending time there doing the lock quest many years ago, brings back some nostalgia :o - but i don't miss Dire Maul :p). whereas if i where to level another set of toons again using RAF, I would probably quest them, as I always found that when running a RAF team, questing from 55-60 was quicker for me (just look at the cauldron quest series in WPL, gives you something stupid like 160k+ XP on quest turn ins alone, for not a great deal of work)

Went ahead and ran Deadmines using my Boomkin. It felt really slow, but I was looting. I also got all 5 quests done.
The team ended up getting 3 levels and the one death was on the boat as the goblin captain rushed me. He did drop the Emberstone staff, so one of the locks is smiling. :D

Looting is a waste of time really. With some luck you gather a couple of gold for an instance run. Maybe more from DEmats. If you just do a daily or so you allready made the same amount of gold. So tip: don't loot unless there's something that makes it worthwhile. Like when runecloth/netherweave cloth costs 20g/stack.

I use master looter with threshold as blue so I only see the good stuff, that speeds up looting a lot

the only time i end up looting, is when i'm pushing the 5 instance per hour limit, to pad out the time a bit

Well I just leveled up my paladins, from level 1 to 64 I made 4,000 gold by looting greens and blues and either selling them or the enchanting mats. I think it was worth two extra hours of looting. I was really surprised at how much I made. I did not loot cloth or pickup / sell grays

I was going through my bank the other day looking for some space so I got rid of all the wool
at 20g per stack on the AH
so I guess loot that wool!
