We now have a place we can call home. If you are a part of Legion of Boom please head on over and register. If you aren't and feel like hanging out go ahead and register. We will continue to cross post anything important on dual-boxing.com.

Why?
Maybe I missed a memo or something, but I'm a little confused as to why we need a new forum?

With the coming expansion and the revamping of the raid team it was decided that Legion of Boom needed a new home so members can have free open discussions about guild related topics; such as events, group activities, policies, etc. Dual-boxing.com is not the place for that. While we will continue to cross-post important information, the majority of discussions regarding the guild will happen in the new forums. Another driving factor is that the new raid team will not be running under the Death is Temporary moniker, we will be the 10man raid team of Legion of Boom. And no there was no memo.

So it's politics. Cool. Was just curious.

You just like to take anything and swing it to the negative don't you? No politics played a role in this decision. We wanted to make an effort to make LoB into a more active, fun guild to be in and this is just the first step. Dual-boxing.com isn't here to meet the needs of guilds, it should stay primarily focused as a hub for boxing conversations.

Thank you for answering my original question.
I'm sorry you feel the need to insult me for asking.

I don't think he was trying to insult you, rather share an opinion that you have a tendency to always think the worst of anything. Everything Vecter said is true, and Dave's version was very spot on. We're trying to reinvigorate the guild, maybe even open recruitment who knows. We have some awesome things planned. This by no means is a slight against DB or any specific person.
Vecter's comment was also spot on about you always looking to the negative aspect, I'm not here to judge you. You and I have had a rough history and I think you know I have no ill feelings toward you at all, but your latest "I didn't get enough notice for MC and you went without me so I'm gonna leave / not join irc" is childish and super emo. I'm sorry you didn't get to go with us, hell I didn't even get much notice either. No one really did. It was very spur of the moment and spontaneity tends to leave some people out. I almost didn't go because it was such short notice. I'm sorry if you felt left out but that definetely wasn't anyone's intention.

And a side note...
There are too many cats in this thread.

I asked a question because I honestly wanted to understand the reasons for it. Maybe I didn't say it right way, but I had trouble understanding the response I got, so I made a joke, likely in poor taste. Now I am defending my character from personal attacks and you've even taken the time to drag up unrelated events. If the intent is to make me feel bad, then you have succeed, I honestly feel like shit right now. I never had any ill will toward either of you. I don't know if that is true from what you've written here.

Moving on and getting back on track we want to encourage all current and future LoB members to join the new site. Our focus is going to try and get things moving within the guild with the understanding that as boxers we tend to play in our own little worlds. Hopefully we can open some doors a bit and get more and more players doing stuff together. This by all means will not be mandatory and those that want to do their own thing is perfectly fine.
Currently we have a plan to get together for AV weekend this weekend as an example. Should be fun!

Cool, sounds good. This is one of the few areas that LoB could see improvement, and I'm glad to see you guys are working on it.

AS of this morning, only 10 people maybe have posted on LoB. There has been more posts in this thread than that. We really need someone to herd these cats over to the new spot. Maybe Svper and Vector can add a new guild rank above Member + to show you have been there and posted something maybe "Guildie"

So a guild specific sub-forum is not a place to discuss guild specific events, group activities, policies, etc.
Just dropping by to point out the irony in your post. Have a nice day! :)

I'm holding out until Cataclysm. I want to level a new toon or two - and I can't see doing it now with all the new toys on the horizon.

A guild specific sub forum in a multiboxing support website is totally different from a dedicated guild forum. With the dedicated forum, we can have separate raid group sign outs, guild specific info about crafters, bank tab stuff etc.
I think we should keep this sub forum more for multiboxing specific stuff, and for other boxers who want to chat with us. The dedicated forum is better suited for everything else.
