Just noticed they have changed the look of battle.net and the way it displays games. Was wondering if anyone has tried to add more than 8 wow accounts to one now and if it works.
Currently I have 5 accounts linked to mine but thinking about raf'ing 3 new accounts to start to level up new teams (merged my old team onto 1 account so figure I can just grind up with 4 raf'ed accounts) but want to have the option in future of adding more if I feel like it.

Multibocks, If you can, try adding a WoW trial to your other accounts.

I had 7 WoW plus the starcraft beta while it was going, was worrying that it would keep me from getting into cata beta, but the starcraft beta is now gone and I still haven't gotten a Cata beta, so I'm safe, but if at least beta's don't count toward the limit, or of the limit has been raised, that would be nice.

The new design makes me wonder if the 8 accounts limit has indeed been raised.
Maybe I should just make another trial account to find out.

Little off topic, but I saw the sc2 video, and I had gotten bets when it first came out, played the tutorials and simple games at first, but after seeing that video I really want to play it again lol, good job machinima, but alas it's gone! Now to debate on getting the collectors edition for the pet/art or just get the game. I remember when I pre ordered the bc collectors edition I got it the night of the release (pre ordered via standard mail on blzz,s store).

You are still limited to 8 accounts. I have 8 and just tried to add another and got the following:
Account Limit Reached
Your Battle.net account already has the maximum number of World of Warcraft® accounts that can be added to a single account. If you have any questions, please contact Customer Support (http://us.blizzard.com/support/index.xml?locale=en_US&gameId=12).
yup, still 8.
I'm trying to get some old trials to be removed and my new accounts (on another bnet) added, but can't as the limit is still 8.
Currently on the phone, waiting for some guy to pick me up for the queue.
"Estimated wait time: 43min" /sigh.. and it took me 5 tries to just even get in the queue

If you're not in a rush, you can just email them.
I had my original (now banned) account removed in around 2 days and they were really good about it.

i did send an email originaly, but was told to call instead (see below) :(
Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to disassociate your World of Warcraft subscriptions from your Battle.Net account. There is an option, however. If you are looking to keep all of your accounts under one battle.net account, we can transfer the unwanted accounts to another battle.net account created with the same information to free up space. The new battl.net needs to have the same information for us to be able to do this, as we cannot let these accounts be disassociated from you, their creator.
If this is an option you would like to consider, please call Account and Technical Services to perform this for you. Currently, ATS is not allowed to modify or reveal account information over email.
In any case, after 57mins of wait on the phone, the lovely Elizabeth took my call and promptly cleaned up my b.net account and moved everything i wanted where i wanted.
All good now. The service is actually good, it's just getting hold of them that's horrible.

Odd!
Sucks that they coudln't do it via email, yet they were able to do mine?
Glad you got it sorted out though :)

no idea.
I think the guy who answered my email didn't have a clue, since Elizabeth didn't have any problem to delete my unwanted trial accounts (or disassociate them from me, as they say) even though they had low level toons

oh well, at least someone was able to help.
Only problem for me now is that I can't re-accociate the account :( says it's still attached to a Bnet account, even though it's not!
Oh well, I think i'll just leave that one :P

Got my cata invite today, and can confirm that beta accounts (or other ptr accounts) do not count toward the 8 total, so you can still get into beta if you have 8. As far as I could see anyway.
Right now have 9 accounts showing in my battle net, two of which are flagged as PTR, one for the regular PTR that is not going on right now that got created accidentally as i was clicking around, and one for the cata beta that appeared automatically today when I got into the beta.

I'm thinking about making movies of the beta, no multiboxing unfortunately, since I only have one battle.net account, but if there is anything you'd like to see that you have not seen elsewhere, please feel free to request it. Some ideas would be nice to get me started. :)

Hey max, how does the beta work if you have multi accounts on one bnet? Can you transfer toons from any of them? or do you have to pick one WoW account and thats the only one you can use for beta?
Maxion

No cinematic as of yet.
Can transfer toons from any account on the same battle net, though I seem to be getting an error if i try to transfer any more after the 5th one.
if you have time, i'd be interested to see the new interface for talents and masteries etc, even just screenshots would be great.
I could probably just google it though >.< so don't worry lol

hrmmm, Yeah I talked to two people @ blizz and they both said we don't really do that, guess i will have to do it the old fashioned way, and buy new keys and xfere them, just didn't really want to spend the money, but I guess if all else fails I will be well on my way to a 10 box lol......

I logged in to battle.net today and had a PTR account that's new and not my doing. Char Copy points to https://www.worldofwarcraft.com/beta-charcopy/ but when following the link I get:
Error: No World of Warcraft Account Attached
There are no World of Warcraft Game Licenses attached to this Battle.Net Account.
No beta invite in the mailbox associated with the accounts - are they playing a prank on me? Anyone else noticed this?
--- Edit ---
Also noticed that the PTR client is:
Download Game Client
Public Test Realm / English (US)
Which is strange since I play on EU servers. Really don't get this? Feeling frustrated right now.
--- And final edit ---
Checked the Cataclysm forums and the Logo and Status on the PTR page should be Cataclysm and BETA, respectively. So this was just some random Blizzard annoyance.

Took about 4 days from when I got into the beta until I got the email.
