Hi all mate..

after a very lot of time and prob. outgearing the instance i found my way to win against this instance instead of waiting 15 minutes if i got as the random dungeon :P

Didn't remember from who i saw/read this tactic but is smooth as butter.
After some months trying to made separate macro on toons / different addon for unitframes and for button bar i found this way as the most simple to do.

At the last boss
All buff up
All totem down (if u have shaman ofc :P)
Jump on drake
/leavevehicle with your healer
Assume the control of the fight from your healer (this for the healing macro)
Lift up the other 4 pg a bit (not too much or u can't cure but NOT too close or the sphere in phase 2 will kill your healer as is happen to me on the first try :D)
Prepare a macro on the healer /cast [target=mouseover] greater heal (ok my healer is a priest - put the big macro u have :P) and place this macro on button 1
Spam button 1 (drakes will hit the boss and your healer will cure ONLY the party member you have the cursor over the unitframe/body)
@phase 2 hit button 2 for imunity from the sphere damage ( so u don't have to move your toon )
Rinse and repeat

Smooth as butter
Simple as..... various months of wiping without using this strategy :D

What unit frames are those and what is doing the enemy plates?

The UI is SPARTAN UI from curse.com (with several more addon that fit my playstyle)

Yes, the post was definitely useful.

In fact, I was going for the Experienced Drake Rider achievement on a team of mine and had already done all red and all bronze. So they all needed greens. Instead of going 4 red, 1 green five times, I figured I'd press my luck and try to get credit for multiple greens at once. Problem is, the greens can't just sit during the astral shift thing. So I took my three greens far away during the shifts and basically just one-DPSed the boss with one red for most of the fight with my unmounted healer throwing heals. Worked just great and got the achievement on three toons at once.

Amazing that you can win this fight on heroic mode with just one DPSer with this strategy.

Anyway, hope that helps others if they are in the same boat.

What addon are you using for the enemy plates? I guess it comes in the Spartan UI? And the what about the addon in the bottom middle just above the bottom panel? looks like you are using it for heals?


I run 4 ele shaman (warrior and pally trade tanking). Am i going to have to dual spec one of the shammies for resto?

Yes, the Spartan UI is just complete and auto resize with screen resolution with all the unit frame just set (i only moved the party ones on the upper left)

The 2 set of bars in the middle are:

1 - lower one - Vudho - yes i use it withrepeater regions for heal with my disc priest with left click and if needed with the 2 shamans with the right button. in really group emergency i have middle button for chain heal on shamans and prayer of healing on the priest - with mouse button 4 and 5 i have purge, cleanse ecc ecc on every pg)

2 - tauntmaster - left click on pg becomed red ( has taken aggro) will cast righteous defense - the right will cast hand of reckoning on his target for taunt him back

for your question - is just a question of how much healing u need on the tank imho
i have a dedicated healer and it's ok for me
u can set a macro (or use whodu as i do) for cast 4X lesser healing weave on your shaman then they can continue to dps...
More dps -> shorter fight -> less to cure
but imho there are some instance - halls of reflection that i cannot do atm :mad: - where a dedicated healer is quite a must

I love Groove Armada!!!! Older stuff though, Vertigo is my favorite GA album. It would be cool to hear someone use "At the River." It seems as if every other gaming video has Viking metal or some sort of metal to prove how "Brutal" (Nathan Explosion) they are ... fairly annoying ;0 It's not that I don't like mteal, I love it, just not in every other video I watch. This was refreshing and original.

Anyway...Tried four boxing Oculus for the first time last night. That was a PITA. I was dps / heals and my son was tanking. I had never tried it with that many before. I've done it with two, and three using bronze drakes. I didn't watch any videos or use any help, because I wanted to make on my own steam, but .... here I am. Just wondering what mouseover macro you're using to dismount. That looked slick. I've always used a mouse repeater to dismount in any vehicle fight, and that's somewhat less elegant. Nice job, I'm jealous.

Edit: nevermind... reread OP.... I'm blind... getting old, time for more carrots I guess.
