Keyclone(download) ('http://www.solidice.com/keyclone/db/keyclone_v1.8e_26feb2008a.exe') - is an All in One piece of fine software that combines everything you’d ever want for broadcasting keystrokes to more than 1 client or PC. In Lamens terms it’s Multibox and Autohotkey combined.
Setup takes minutes, https://solidice.com/keyclone/tutorial/index.html (link to pictured tutorial, use this for getting started)
Here we get a nice GUI format to work with, no coding - just straight up menus with options. That’s what I want!

But Ellay what is key broadcasting?!
Well then, let’s explain that first!
When managing more than 1 instance on a PC or multiple PC’s at the same time it becomes much more efficient if you can push a key that will send that ‘key stroke’ to all instances and PC’s involved. Thus making your life a lot easier in the process! While taking micro-management to the level it should be at! 1 Keyboard to Ruuullle them ALLL!! There I go again, more Lord of the Rings quotes..
We’ll use the ever popular World of Warcraft to give an example.
Scenario 1 :You have 1 computer but want to play 2 characters on it at the same time, let’s be honest - Alt tabbing just doesn’t cut it.

Scenario 2:You have 3 computers and want to play 5 character at the same time, pressing buttons on 3 seperate keyboards + alt tabbing definitely doesn’t cut it!
This is where Keyclone steps in, making all of this manageable from 1 keyboard and mouse.
Beyond that, this application appeals to both novice and experienced dual boxers. After the main goal of broadcasting keystrokes, your able to micromanage that even further. First stop is the Do not pass section, pretty much as it says, “Thou shall not pass!” Electing which keys you don’t want being broadcasted beyond the ‘main’.
Second is my personal favorite which is huge for my High End PvP style, the Round Robin. Selecting a keystroke that will be pressed in a rotation , i.e key “1? being pushed is sent to the first instance, pressed again it will only be sent to the second instance, then the third and so on.
Third is the keymap editor which is for more experienced dual boxers, I would suggest this avenue only once you get the hang of it. A basic example of what this accomplishes is sending commands by “type” instead of the actual keystroke. Identifying a key as your “Shield” would then send a “Shield” command to the other clients, which would then utilize their “Shield” even if the intended action was on two separate keys. The overall goal allowing you to customize each clients layout without losing efficient broadcasting.
In conclusion Keyclone is the most affordable key broadcasting piece of software you can find for the options and support you get. It does cost $10 per license to use(updates are free), but compare that to a hardware based broadcaster (Vetra mutliplexers) which run in the $100-200 range. Or the free open source alternatives which require in depth coding or are no longer supported.
The developer is very active in our community, if you have any questions I would suggest utilizing this post http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums2/viewtopic.php?t=883 ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/../forums2/viewtopic.php?t=883')
Synergy is also compatible with Keyclone making it a powerful duo for those utilizing multiple PC’s.
For those concerned about the legality of it, Rob (keyclone) has gone extra lengths to make sure it can not be automated in any way, which is what Game Developers care about.
